I am old previous patient of Dr. Kadanoff’s and I agree that she seems very helpful in the beginning but after that it is unbearable. I could never get a refill from her department unless I had to call and call him and call. Sometimes I would have to write to the Board of Directors for of office personnel that hung up the phone on me and I still had a fight to get prescriptions every month.
The main problem I had is I think she was getting a kickback from a certain prescription. Unfortunately I developed a severe reaction on taking this medication which I was taking one in the morning and one in the evening and when I inform Dr. Kadanoff to take me off of this, she had told me to just take both of them at night! I couldn’t believe what she was saying. I was having a bad adverse reaction that has changed my life quite a bit, and I had to wean myself off of the medication and try to find a way to fix it myself and then I went back to her and said I’m off of it, I’m allergic to it and now what do we do? I kept asking her to try a new medication that I had seen on television and she kept forcing me to take the other medication that I eventually got an allergic reaction to once I finally got her to give me that prescription after one day of taking one pill my pain was always on an 8 to 9 every day went down to 3 to 4. After all this time, I finally got the medication that I needed to help ease the pain. The problem being is once you are already so-called diagnosed then no one else will listen behind that I know that something was misdiagnosed. I still have the medical charts and the labs that were taken With all the abnormalities I had with an all these blood tests I’m shocked that nobody did anything to help fix any of it who knows maybe I have had lupus because it started when I was a 39 now I’m in my 50s and I’m falling apart very quickly I have now gone to have to use a cane at times, when my hips are so bad that I cannot walk without one, then I have to spend away from work to try and rest and sleep to help recover because the flares take so much more out of me and every part of my body is falling apart. So after close to 20 years later, I am a wreck. Every part of my body hurts. I can’t do anything I can’t even go for a walk because being out in the sun will send me into a flare walking hurts my legs, so bad and my hips that I have to take extra muscle relaxers to try and rest up, so what am I left with? I’ll tell you when I’m left with extreme pain top from the top my head to my toes every day and there is no relief. I would tell anyone never to see this doctor again please find another rheumatologist somewhere else I saw her for many years, and it took forever , and the only thing I’m happy and I thank God she is not working at the same place. Please take precautions and get a second opinion. If you think you have some thing else fight for it don’t let somebody label you with a wrong label because you don’t want to end up 20 years later practically paralyzed .
