Dr. Wainer has operated on me three times - his surgery has been very successful with little pain and no complications. I highly recommend him - his PA, Michael is great too.

I went to this doctor for an assessment of pain and loss of range of motion in one hip. X-rays in hand the doctor's assistant gave me the diagnosis and answered my initial questions. Then the doctor came in and further explained the condition and prognosis. Exercise, supplements, weight management, body awareness and movement were discussed. Surgical options, the state of the technology and possible future developments and why it is best to wait were explained in detail. For someone like me, an information oriented medical consumer, Wainer was excellent. I did not feel hurried, in part due to the well informed medical assistant fielding questions so that my face time with the doctor was used for more detailed information

Dr. Wainer has years of orthopedic experience and is especially knowledgeable for hip and knee replacement surgery as well as shoulder rotator cuff repair. He focuses on details and accuracy with his diagnosis as well as his surgeries. He has very good follow-up patient skills; and also works with the patient for helpful pain management. He is assisted by an excellent PA, Michael Sherwood--and between the two of them give their patients superior care. I highly recommend Dr. Wainer.

Dr. Wainer has operated on my twice and the results have been excellent. He is considered one of the, if not the best surgeon at the Santa Cruz Medical Foundation. I recommend him highly.
