All she does is read blood test results
Tells other people that i need to see a shrink, her words. I had cancer, she should have picked up on this! Kept saying I had asthma. She is a dr, should have picked up on it in blood work.
Makes you wait forever. She called me twice for telephone appts, tells her superiors that I had her on the phone for stupod reasons. She called me both times an hour and 40 minutes late, then rushed me off of the phone. I have records of it on my phone. She lies to much. This wasnt to long ago.

I concur with previous comments regarding Dr. Freitag's chronic disregard of her patients' time and intelligence and her quickness to medicate. When I complained about the difficulty of scheduling appointments with her and her poor follow-up, she told her staff member to tell me - over the phone - that I had a problem and should see a psychiatrist. I have never been treated with such profound disrespect by a medical "professional." In my opinion, this woman has no business practicing medicine.

At my first appt. this doctor told me that I needed to transfer all of my records (going back years) to her for review.Nothing could be done until she reviewed my records. She wanted to see me in three weeks, but when I walked out to the desk to schedule the appt., nothing could be made for six months out because the office staff could not find time in her schedule! I asked them to go back and ask the doctor if something could be done since she had *just* told me she wanted to see me right away...and the woman came back out and told me that the doctor was fine with me waiting six months. I should have known right then that this was a bad sign! So I had all records transferred, waited six months for the next appt., and then after waiting an hour to see her, found out that she had not looked at a single record or test result and wanted time to "review" them...and asked me to schedule *another* appointment!! Cannot understand why anyone would put up with this.Found a nice new doc.

I have seen this doctor twice now and all the other recent posts are completely accurate. Long long wait for appointments and then, to see the doctor once you are there. She does not review any of your testing until you are sitting there in her office, so if a bad result comes back and you aren't scheduled to see her for six months, you are out of luck unless you call with a complaint (and even then, only the nurse responds). She seems like a nice person and does seem to know her stuff, but maybe it's just a persona because over 10 months and two appointments, nothing has been reviewed or done. Stay away!!!

All the previous posters who said seeing Dr. Freitag was the worst experience of their lives were right on the money. I made my appointment to see her 9 months before seeing her. I was the only patient in the waiting room and sat there for 45 minutes. Then, after being ushered into the examination room, I sat there for another 45 minutes. Luckily, I was able to spend the time listening to Dr. Freitag on the phone making personal calls. When she finally appeared, it was 90 minutes after my appointment and she never bothered to apologize. Her questions were thorough and she definitely knew her stuff. She told me she wanted to give me a shot but didn't realize the office had run out and offered to give me some free samples of medicine but didn't realize they were out of that as well. I'll go back one more time, but if it's another 90 minute wait, I'll never go back.

As you can see from the articles plastered on the walls of her office as well as her degrees, Dr. Freitag is very knowledgeable about endocrine medical practics..however she and her staff have the WORST service attitudes that I have ever encountered. I am 25 and was diagnosed with hypothyroid disease at the young age of 16. I sent my ENTIRE medical record to Dr. F's office about 2 months before my appointment, and when she came into the exam room to see me 50 minutes after i'd been brought into the room (mind you i waited in the waiting room for 20 minutes prior to that) she had NO CLUE why i was even there, didnt even know what my condition was. which was appalling!!

I have seen her for almost 3 years and gave me throid medicine for no reason whatsoever and they did not help at all. Loves giving medicines even if it is not necessary. I was very unhappy, did not help at all and just changes my doctor. Not seeing her anymore.

I found Dr. Freitag to be very helpful and knowledgeable. Nodules on my thyroid were discovered during a PET/CT for an unrelated issue. My mother had thyroid cancer, so I was extremely concerned. When I called basically all of the endocrinologists in my area that take my insurance explaining my situation and trying to schedule an appointment, she was the only one that would see me soon. She had me send all my test results ahead of time, and actually read them before she saw me, and I was able to have a biopsy within 2 weeks. I have found her to spend a lot of time listening, and she also keeps on top of other health issues with me, such as Lyme testing, vitamin D supplements, tetanus booster.
