Dr. Iospa is wise, perceptive, knowledgeable, and generous. She helped me through crises as well as more routine problems. Her advice has helped me to understand myself and her suggestions are useful. She is very good with drug prescriptions, changing them over the years as needed. Most of all, she is kind and caring.

I've been a patient of Dr. Iospa now for about 4 years and her patience, genuine care, and proactive ways naturally created a nourishing relationship one normally doesn't experience with psychiatrists. She really helped me have patience with myself to find the best course of treatment for me. I've never lasted this long nor had this much success with any psychiatrist and she is around my 6th here in my 20 years in NY. Because she really cares, it helped me care about my mental health more. If you go, and you feel grateful after a time, be sure to let her know. :)

Dr Alla is my doctor for 3 years and I have to say that she is great. She was able to get my condition under control so I can now function a lot better. I wanted to compliment her front desk stuff, Ina and Oxana are both very polite and helpful, nothing is a problem.

I want to compliment Dr. Iospa for her thoroughness, and empathy. She cares, spends time with a patient trying to get to the roots of the underlying problem. She answers questions and provides clear instructions. She calls back and has weekend coverage in case of an emergency. I can highly recommend her.

I have never felt rushed. in fact she spent double the time with me compare to my previous doctor. My first appointment was like an hour if not longer, and following appointments are like 20 min. Sometimes, I wish i would be in and out fast, with my prescription. She is very caring doctor, good psychopharmacologist

Felt like she kept pushing addictive prescriptions on me even though I repeatedly told her addiction is a problem in my family. Otherwise I liked her, but can't have that.

When my father started showing signs of memory loss I brought him to Perl Barlow Memory Center, the Neurology group at NYU. They prescribed some meds and referred him to Dr. Alla Iospa for evaluation, because he mentioned suicidal thoughts.

Dr. Iospa insisted on immediate hospitalization. I was angry and devastated. I called her the very next day and said some harsh words, I was out of line and rude. She encouraged us to seek 2nd opinion, if I disagree.

Now my father is back from the hospital, feeling less depressed and his cognitive decline seem under control. He watches TV again, enjoys walking and doesn’t get violent.

I’ would like to publicly apologize to Dr. Iospa for my late calls, for being rude. She is really a good, empathetic doctor, who made herself available during our difficult time. Thank you Very Much. W.
