I went to see Dr Garber today as my usual GP was not available. I've chronic pain in my back for the last 2 weeks which is not getting better so I asked for a referral for a CT scan. Dr Garber abused me for not seeing my regular GP, insinuated that I was asking for pain relief and claimed he didn't know me and didn't know what kind of scan to send me for! I have never been treated with such disrespect and disdain.

I complained to the practice manager and she agreed that it was a terrible way to treat me and she was going to have a word with him. She arranged for me to see my regular GP immediately even though he was booked out. When he saw the pain I was in, he immediately wrote a presciption for pain relief and sent me for a CT scan.

Dr Gerber told me that he could not help me because he was not my "regular doctor" however I had seen other doctors in his practice for years and they had seen me without a problem. The very definition of a GP is that they should be able to see anyone especially if my medical history is on file. He didn't read my file but agreed I should see other doctors in his practice, which I did.

Garber’s unprofessional behaviour from 2008 (mentioned in the first review) still hasn’t changed. During my appointment with Dr Garber he became flustered and irritable because of his inexperience with what I had asked him to help me with. I don’t expect doctors to know the answers to everything (they’re only human) but it was unprofessional of him to take it out on me. If you want a doctor who is impatient, condescending, late (yes doctors can be held back with other patients but I was his first one of the day) and makes you feel schooled or humiliated then Dr Garber is your man. Won’t be seeing him ever again and I really don’t recommend him.

rude condescending man left me feeling foolish and upset. This is the sort of doctor who will scare nervous patients away as he did with me. Dr Garber that tardy approach may look cute on TV with doctors such as house and becker, in real life however it is simply demeaning, absolutely unnecessary and possibly detrimental.

Dr Garber has been my doctor for some years - I can rely on his direct and down to earth advice and explanations. He takes what I say seriously and he puts things plainly and clearly without making more of something than it needs but still giving everything thorough consideration. I would most definitely recommend him.

Went to see him to get a referral to see s specialist. Was told because he didn't know me he wasn't going to help me at all. Was the least helpful and most rude doctor I have encountered. Will not be seeing him again and warning others to stay away.

Dr Garber was very helpful for my daughter. He listen very carefully, showed real concern and worked out the problem well on a few issues. We liked him a lot!
