Dr. Kattove is an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate doctor. She is a skilled diagnostic who effectively combines analysis with medication. I highly recommend her.

I saw this physician several times. I believe she has personal issues which cloud her clinical judgment, particularly regarding male patients.

I had Dr. Kattove for 7 years after my initial treatment at the Women's Trauma Trtment Centr @ Mclean, 2001. She is focused, centered, and firmly grounded. She is gifted at being fully in the present moment as well as concise and knowledgeable in problem solving. She prescribed my meds since I already had a therapist. She impressed my pharmacists with her promptness and professionalism The relationship between doctor and patient with all it's intricacies is such an important element in trtment; I could trust her and felt safe with her which allowed me the ability to focus on getting better. Dr. Kattlove takes this relationship very seriously and it's value to her quickly becomes evident. One of the most valuable insights I gained while under her care was how to walk the line between using my skills I had learned in DBT and the use of my meds and I feel very confident now. Needless to say,I would highly recommend her.

I spent years trying to find a mode of therapy & a doctor that was able to help me - I think many of us have. Fifteen years after my initial search began I finally found the right fit. Dr. Kattlove has a unique way of being very present & helpful without interfering or interrupting the delicate process of trying to reach into oneself to learn how to cope & heal in effective ways. She is genuine & it shows in her care. She guides effectively when appropriate but more importantly possesses the ability & balance to let one figure out how to be their own guide while she makes sure that you aren't heading for a dangerous whirlpool or about to plunge over a waterfall. This isn't a temporary band-aid that leaves me bleeding again - I feel like I'm finally getting the tools that I somehow didn't get & that I'm catching up with the world. Dr. Kattlove is helping me put together the toolbox & learn how to utilize each tool effectively. She's amazing & because of her I've been able stick with it.

Susan Kattlove has been an excellent doctor for me, both for medication needs and for therapy. After years of being incorrectly diagnosed and treated by other doctors, Dr. Kattlove's diagnosis of my illness was incredibly accurate and timely. I have had great success with the medications she has prescribed and she is incredibly adept at adjusting and changing meds appropriately. As a therapist, Dr. Kattlove is wonderfully compassionate while allowing plenty of space to fully experience one's feelings without distraction. She is focused, centered, and firmly grounded. I have seen Dr. Kattlove for 7 years for an anxiety disorder. I believe her caring treatment has been one of the main reasons for me getting better. I would highly recommend her.
