I have seen Dr. Barbara R. Gamradt's for over 18 years. Dr. Gamradt has always taken the time to listen to my health concerns. Dr. Gamradt has given my sons and I tremendous care. I will continue to use her as my main doctor.

Worst doctor experience I have ever had. The entire clinic is poorly run. Dr. Gamradt is unhelpful and clueless. They ordered my percription wrong 3 different times and between each event it took at least 2 weeks for them to call me back. They kept wanting me to come back in for additional visits and if Dr. Gamradt had listened and took the time to do it right that would have not been necessary. After needed to come back for a 4th visit for one medication, I simply switched doctors.

She didn't remember who I was. She was not prepared. I brought in copies of my records to review which showed she had been referenced, but she insisted she never got those. She did not listen to me. She seemed confused. I was there to address some meds she'd prescribed that were contraindicated based on my health history. I wanted to get the appropriate medication. I went over my conditions and she balked at one saying she needed to see the tests. The office has copies on those test as well. We both became very frustrated. She suggested I should see another doctor. And I will!

I am not one to write reviews, but feel I need to set the record straight with Dr G. I find her an extremely attentive and understanding doctor for all of our family members. I have never taken my kids in and been made to feel that a paranoid mother. I am always struck by how much time she takes to go through all our issues to really understand what the problem is. I think that is probably why the wait can be rather long...

I have been a patient of Dr. Gamradt's for over 13 years. I have nothing but good things to say about her! She has always taken the time to listen to my concerns. I have never felt rushed. She has given me awesome care and I will continue to use her as my doctor as long as I can!

Dr. Gamradt is one of the brightest Dr's that I have ever met. She does not have time to be an emotional babysitter for anyone. She is extremely smart and therefore knows how to cut to the chase. Trust me, I can try to manipulate and she is always one step ahead. I have never met a more humble and kind hearted woman and Dr. I owe her my gratitude for my well-being. Hate to think of the day she retires. Your faithful patient, Susan Lariscey

It's almost humorous how much I agree with previous reviews...but at the end of the day I'm not laughing. I have to put my 2 cents in after seeing her name in the Minnesota Monthly magazine's "Best Doctors for Women 2011" article under Family Medicine. My mom and I bought this magazine because we're looking for a new physician (currently Gamradt) and we mentioned how funny it would be if we saw her name listed. To my horror she was. I'm sorry, she's not AWFUL...but I have to disagree with the nomination whole-heartedly. I never feel that she's really listening to me. I do not feel like a patient with her, I feel like a child explaining my symptoms and not taken seriously at all. Every appt. I feel rushed out the door, left feeling untreated with no closure and many unanswered questions. At one point I came in feeling very ill with frightening symptoms, only to be told that she didn't have time to go over them (I waited for 30+ minutes to see her too, which is not uncommon either).

I've had nothing but problems with this doctor & Edina Family Clinics. For example: I have a family history of blood clots. My brother tested positive for 2 genetic factors that lead to blood clots. She asked me to find out what tests they were and let her know (isn't that her job?). I wrote down the names of the tests, but they were never entered into my file. She has made no effort to determine what kind of tests I should have. Another: I had some specialized testing done for another issue. She left a message for me to call her so she could go over the results. I did & when she called back she had no idea what kind of test results she was to be sharing with me. Also, my pharmacy has been waiting a week for a return call from her so they can fill my prescription-no follow up yet Regarding the office--I had a mammogram scheduled and waited for over an hour to get in. Apparently the front desk staff had not let the tech know that I was there--she assumed that I was a no-show.

Not good. She KNEW that I had high blood pressure and did not put me on medication, until it was 230/110. She never acted as though she knew who I was, even though I and my daughter had been to see her many (too many) times. I really disliked looking at her back, as she was hunched over the computer screen. She could not remember things that I had told her a couple of times before. My high blood pressure was due to undiagnosed sleep apnea, which she never suspected. It was diagnosed when I decided it was definitely time to step up to an Internal Medicine doctor. I was getting nowhere with her. The sad thing is, I was really trying to work with her and be an advocate for my own health. I feel everyone deserves a chance, but either she could or would not deliver.

Rude rude rude! Doctor does not feel like she has to listen to patients concerns. Seems like she always has something she has to rush off to. Entirely unsympathetic. THere are other great doctors at Edina Fam Physicians like Dr. Burns. He is worth the wait.
