In my opinion, Dr. Buckley "shows up" for patient visits - nothing more . Thinking that somehow is actual meeting with a "patent" corresponds to his NS health remuneration.
He seems to have no actual interest in meeting with his patients or their concerns - just the bottom line of what he can expect as payment for showing .

This is my children’s doctor. He and his office lost my daughter’s disability paperwork FOUR times even though I hand delivered it to them on top of it being faxed twice and emailed.
Then, he needed to refer my son to a pediatric immunologist. On the phone call when I kept asking if he had sent the referral, he just kept repeating, “ yes but it’s a two year wait list”
Today, four weeks after that conversation, I find out that he indeed did not put in for the referral.
I’m ready to lose my mind. There are no other doctor options in this province, yet this doctor is an absolute hack so what’s the point.

Dr. Buckley I have no problems with . He knows what he is talking about .
My wife and I are both patient's of his and are very happy with him.

I do not understand how this practice can consciously continue to operate knowing that patients are unable to get in touch with reception or Dr. Buckley in a reasonable time period. The phone system has apparently been down for a couple of months, the only way to book an appointment is on their website which only allows phone appointments. It takes 2.5-3 weeks to get a phone appointment and as many people below have indicated, Dr. Buckley is never on time for these appointments. Dr. Buckley does not have patients' charts with him so does not know what you are referring to when explaining your situation. He rushes you off the phone and does not allow you to explain more than one issue at a time. However, you cannot get an appointment with Dr. Buckley in a reasonable timeframe to explain each issue at a time so you're left with no choice but to discuss multiple things. I have had to sit at a walk-in clinic for 3-4 hours 3 times in 2021 in order to see a doctor because I cannot get in to see Dr. Buckley for immediate issues. Just today, I waited for 10 minutes on hold for the automated message to tell me they are not accepting phone calls at this time. What is going on here????? As many other people have indicated below, I would LOVE to switch to another family doctor if that was an option. The 'care' I am receiving from Dr. Buckley is unacceptable.

I can's say enough good things about Dr. Buckley. Attentive, concerned, and followed up repeatedly. Dr. Buckley went beyond the call of duty for me and my concerns. This has been a difficult time for all professionals, especially physicians, and he has far exceeded my experiences with other physicians during the pandemic.

Very frustrated with this man. He only takes phone appointments and then doesn't consistently phone you on time. Twice I waited and it was hours later past the appointed time that he phoned and once he wasn't even in the office so didn't have any of my information in front of him so it was complete waste of time. I also hate the booking system. Made a booking request 3 days ago for later this month and still have not received a confirmation about the appointment. So frustrated! If I could I would look for a new doctor.

I have been trying to get paperwork completed for almost two years and it was sent but not completed properly or completely so it had to be sent back to him. He said he had to wait for more info from another doctor, I made sure I contacted the other doctor who told me it was sent to him. When I tried to contact Dr Buckley a few months later and the paperwork is still not sent. I do not know why still, but I cannot seem to reach the office to talk to him and when I do get through to his office I am told he is only in the office on Tues and Thurs but i am not getting a return phone call.

He really struggles with the concepts of phone appointments and follow up. Basic stuff takes weeks to get done, if ever. I feel very sorry for the reception staff who must deal with stressed out patients all the time.

Had appointment with this doctor an ask to see a specialist an he gave me a sheet of paper an told me to go home an write on the paper 5 reason why he should make me appointment to see a specialist
