I have been seeing this doctor for over a year. I have found that she does not like any questions. Does not take the time to treat the patient as a whole person. I would go elsewhere.

I was researching to see which general physicians are good in Raleigh area and came across this so I thoughti would provide my feedback. I agree she is not very punctual and also rushes you. Does not ask probing questions. I wouldn't question her knowledge because it's only been 4 visits for me but I guess feeling comfortable is an important thing. So I might look for another doc.

I have been going to Dr. Mackenzie for several years, fortunately I have not had terrible health problems. She is a means to an end, to get my recurring rx written. Generally, I spend hours on line researching any issues I have prior to my visit so I can inform her what I need or what I think is wrong. The exams are dreadful and she is very odd and her behavior is inappropriate. On my last visit, specifically booked for a blood test, the blood work person was not in so Dr. took the blood herself. Ran a slew of tests I did not need and I was sent the results. When I asked for results of the tests I requested, I was told by the nurse that she did not draw enough blood. Four vials were drawn. I guess she was too busy telling me about her friend's match.com dating experiences. Thanks for wasting my time, and one of my four covered Obamacare visits for this year. On a positive note, it's fairly easy to get an appointment...I wonder why.

Her staff is very rude. The little blond was mocking a patient in front of other people in the waiting room. The other staffer giggled at the blonde's rudeness.

Awful doctor and person. She is exactly as the bad reviews describe. Makes you read your own diagnoses and then asks if you have questions instead of sitting down and explaining the paperwork to you. She walks in the room and says here is your diagnosis, I'll be back if you have questions then leaves. Her staff is just as bad. After a serious injury, I went to have an MRI and, after repeated calls to the office, they returned my call saying that I did not have a fracture, I was OK and should only come in if I had any more pain. The problem is, I went for an MRI to diagnose LIGAMENT damage. When I asked about any ligament damage, she took a 5 minute break, returned to the phone and said, "Yes you have torn ligaments and to come in immediately." So which is it? She refused to tell me which ligaments were torn and Mary never returned my calls. I called back asking for a referral and the staff refused to provide me with one until I came in and they charged me, what they thought was my copay but didn't know so they winged it, and extra $40 for the visit. She is rude and careless. I am switching doctors tomorrow.

Dr.Mack is rude and careless with health and well being. Her awkward behavior and comments made me question whether she herself was under the influence of some narcotics. Terrible manners! Do NOT waste your time on this quack.

Staff: Dr. Mack has an assistant, though Dr. Mack seems the better physician. The assistant seems reticent to write prescriptions and is overly deferential. Admin staff are respectful and confidential, and call-in prescriptions when asked. Punctuality: Appointments are best scheduled with Dr. Mack within the first two hours of opening. Otherwise, one increases the prospect of enduring wait times in excess of 45mins. Helpfulness: Dr. Mack has never failed to be available for a same-day emergency appointment. If one complains of other ailments, Dr. Mack seems willing to oblige and accommodate the patient with addition time as required. Knowledge: Dr. Mack listens to your complaint, though her interest wanes if the description is too obtuse. Dr. Mack tends to speak at you rather then converse with you, and tends either to talk over you or talk at you while walking away. Administrative: Forms and appointments cannot be submitted online. Dr. Mack doesn't communicate via email or phone.

I would avoid this doctor at all costs. She doesn't even have you put on gowns--just asks you to drop your drawers! On my last visit she handed me a doctor's book and told me to review the symptoms on my own. I found her behavior to be odd and erratic. Find someone else!

I felt rushed, as if she just wanted to collect her insurance payment and get me out the door. I came in to have a pain in my shoulder check out. She did a quick range of motion test and pressed on my shoulder once. She then handed me a rubber glove and said "stretch this 100 times a day." She then wanted to order extensive bloodwork. Shoulder (bone) pain cannot be diagnosed with any kind of bloodwork. She wanted to collect more insurance money through these additional tests. The way the office staff behaved gave me the feeling they were wondering "gosh, I wonder if THIS patient is going to get upset over our little scam too?" Do not waste your time or money on Mary Mackenzie. She will not help you.
