He partially paralyzed my leg during surgery and I live in constant pain, must wear leg brace, limp, constant treatments. Didn’t even bother seeing me in hospital. He should never be allowed to practice medicine, to lay a finger on one person. He ruins people’s lives and just moves to the next life to ruin. I had no idea of the complaints against him or I would have never seen him! I am just learning about them now. There is no correction for what he did. Like a coward, he and his PA left the practice after my surgery. I hope this review will help save someone from this evil doctor.

Check out his performance record in Arizona before going to see him. It's a matter of public record.

He paralyzed my friend in 2000. From the armpits down. He’s now in New Jersey. She had to sign a no clause in order to get a settlement

I wish to God that I knew of Slaughter's past negligence before he did my back surgery in 2011. He left me worse off than what I was before the surgery. I struggle with constant chronic back and leg pain. I cannot sit or stand for more than 20 minutes at a time and sleeping is almost impossible. Please people do not let this man touch you or your loved ones.
I finally found an Orthopedic Surgeon who is going to correct everything he did.

It's hard to believe that this doctor is still able to practice. His negligence left my cousin paralyzed and he has been banned from practice in Arizona and New York. He has a long litany of botched operations. Radiologists do not like to work with him because he makes them take x-rays to cover his tracks when he makes mistakes. It's a sad comment about New Mexico healthcare that this man's license hasn't been taken away from. I know some malpractice lawyers are making a bundle on this guy alone.

I went for a MRI interpretation for some back pain. They had me give a urine sample as part of new patient procedure. This test cost my insurance company over $1000.00 and was of no aid to my purpose for being there. The doctor reviewed my MRI and told me that my back/spine had normal wear and tear and that he wouldn't need to see me again. How important was this urine test? Five months later I finally got the results after speaking with the very rude office manager, Jo, about the ridiculous cost for an unneeded test. This is why the cost of medical insurance is so high.

Dr. Slaughter operated on my wife, Annette Pruitt, at The Heart Hosp. in ABQ on 10/25/10 to remove a bulging disk. It was supposed to take an hour or two & she could possible[y go home same day.He hit jacket over her spinal cord. He stopped oper. She remained in hospital and rehab for over 3 weeks. She still had bulge disk. That was the beginning of series of developments from pneumonia to antibiotic resistant e-coli to blood clot. A down spiral of her health. She passed away 10/12/11.
