I came to Dr. Troiano for wound care after having seen another doctor who could not heal the wound on my foot. I could not have asked for better care. He knew what the problem was and handled it. If I had a question or concern, I could always email Dr. Troiano and he answered quickly. The nurses in his office are helpful and work well together.

Dr. Troiano is amazing. I had to go to multiple doctors to fix my broken fibula with no positive outcome, and he was finally able to surgically fix it for good. He is super clear and communicative as well. Highly recommend!

Dr. Troiano performed an achilles repair for me on 9/13/19. I could not ask for better care during the whole process. He answered all of my questions no matter how minute I thought they were. He was extremely quick to respond personally to these questions also. Dr. Troiano tried other conservative methods before the surgery which I truly appreciated . The fact that he wanted to see if I responded to other treatments made me feel like he truly cared about trying to fix the problem without invasive treatment right away. I am 5 months out of surgery , done physical therapy and do not have to see Dr. Troiano for 3 months. I truly believe if any other doctor performed my surgery, I would not be as far as I am today in my recuperation. I have recommended him to a few people already. I will not use anyone else.

I was referred to Dr. Troiano in June, 2019, for surgical debridement of venous stasis ulcers for which calcium deposits had developed in the wounds, preventing healing. From my first introduction to Dr. Troiano I knew I was in very capable hands. He was definitive with what he was going to do and when. My surgery was in mid-July and I am very pleased to say that my legs are completely healed now. Dr. Troiano and his staff, both at Penn Presbyterian Hospital and the Wound Care Center provided excellent Care. All were kind, compassionate and very reassuring. Dr. Troiano, especially, was informative and explained what he was doing or what needed to happen next. He even gave me his cell number so that I was able to reach him with questions or updates. Dr. Troiano always responded quickly. Because I had been dealing with this problem for over two years, being able to reach him and get a quick answer was very satisfying and comforting. I would highly recommend Dr. Troiano to everyone who needs an outstanding podiatrist/ surgeon. He is absolutely the very best!

In 2015, Dr. TROIANO was recommended to me after I was involved in a terrible car accident that left my right ankle shattered with many fractures and excruciating pain. For the past 5 years, Dr. Troiano has worked endlessly on my ankle to repair the damage from the accident and return me to a more mobile state. From day one, he was upfront and honest with what I could expect and all the possibilities of the future. He has reconstructed my ankle, removed metal implants, “scoped” my ankle joint, administered several cortisone injections, and most recently performed a fusion of my ankle joint. Through it all, he was extremely supportive, helpful and responsive. Dr. Troiano saved my ankle and changed my life. There are not enough words for me to express how grateful I am to have met him and how much appreciation I have for him, his surgical skills, and his knowledge. Without him, I wouldn’t be where I am today - walking and pain free!

I first went to Dr. Troiano several years ago simply to get orthotics because my orthopedic surgeon recommended that I get orthotics. That very first appointment he said, "I'm going to be operating on your ankle in a few years." What kind of real surgeon makes that comment to someone who doesn't even have any complaints? Well, now it's several years later so I guess, in his book, that means I'm due for a surgery! I went with some new minor ankle pain and I thought I needed new orthotics. He took in-office xrays and then claimed that I need major surgery that would require bone fusion and a bone graft or as he put it in his reassuring way, "I'll break the heal and then fuse it to the other bones." If that barbaric description doesn't put you off, I don't know what will. Luckily, I went to an orthopedist at Penn for a second opinion. They saw his xrays and repeated the xrays in their office which looked the same. And guess what? The ankle joint space looks perfectly fine and I don't need surgery. My new pain is from scar tissue that developed after my first surgery. So either he doesn't know how to read the xrays of the body part that he specializes in or he knowingly recommended a major surgery that was not indicated. I will never go back to this "doctor."
