This Doctor was rude condescending and judgmental and I would not refer him or go back. His staff was very friendly so I was not prepared to have such a horrible experience with the Doctor. After his rant using a horrible analogy about using a high powered rifle on seniors at McKenzie place, When he asked me what I wanted and I told him to talk about MY EYES,he told me to go to the dollar store and buy one of each strength cheater readers and see what I liked because reading glasses were expensive.
My husband and I both had appointments and were both astounded at DR. Deweys unprofessional behavior and attitude as well as we felt our actual eye issues (WHY we went to an EYE doctor)were not discussed properly(because he was on a rant about how an endocrinologist friend he had would not like me) and we actually wondered if we should make another appointment and go see another doc to take care of our eyes since this visit was weird and unprofessional.
My husband has been having serious issues seeing from one eye and DR Dewey told my husband his eyes were fine and he did not need another appt for 2 years or more but if he wanted to get a referral for and eye lift he could..
After waiting a ridiculous wait time being lectured/scolded about my opinions regarding MS big pharma drugs and told he was surprised my eyes were in such good shape in spite of my serious health problems, I left frustrated, berated and disappointed. Both my husband and myself felt like this was a horrible experience and do not feel as though we were treated with respect or have a clear idea of our actual eye health. DR. Dewey was arrogant from the start of the appt. even complaining when entering our exam room that his previous patient "talked too much".
It was clear the doctor did not like me and he did not hold back the insulting innuendo. After dismissing a comment I made, he rolled his eyes and said" That's the difference about being educated". His blatant disrespect and arrogance was astounding!
I wish I had read other complaints about this doctor and chosen another eye doctor for my families care.

When you read other complaints about him being arrogant unprofessional uncaring or a jerk take it very seriously because I wish I had read those complaints before putting myself through such a horrendous experience. DR Dewey really is an unprofessional JERK! Save yourself the insults and toxic belittling and find an eye doctor that actually helps you with your eyes.

I had an eye injury/emergency and since my regular doctor was not in that day they set me up with Dr. Dewey who shares the office with my regular doctor-and what a BIG mistake that was. I have never had a worse experience with any doctor-it was horrible-and my wife who had taken me there was equally horrified. Dr Dewey behaved like an uncaring arrogant jerk and made sure we both understood we were just wasting his precious time. I was very distressed with the care I had received and went back for a follow-up with my regular doctor-Dr. Wetzig who's a great doctor. After talking to Dr. Wetzig about my experience with Dr. Dewey I found out I wasn't the only one who have had problems with Dewey. I was also led to believe Dr. Dewey had provided sub-standard care for my eye injury. I cannot express in strong enough terms how awful my experience with Dewey was-it was the worst ever! I would do yourself and your loved ones a favor and find anyone but this jerk for your eye doctor. Arrogant, uncaring, unhelpful, are some words I'd use to describe Dr. Dewey. I have never had such a awful experience with any doctor, anytime, and I will NEVER under any circumstances visit him again. This guy is the WORST! I don't like bad mouthing people but in this case I saw it as my duty to the rest of mankind. What a total jerk this guy is!

I had lens replacement from Dr. Dewey. He is exceptional in his field. I would... and do... highly recommend him to all I know seeking this surgery. I was treated very well. Everything was explained. I too have "floaters" in one eye...but that has nothing to do with lens replacement surgery. Floaters come with AGE and are not removeable. Almost everyone will have "floaters" as they age. The doctor was quite clear to me on explaining floaters in the eye. All I know is I can see better now than I have in 40 years.

Cataract surgery on both eyes in Feb and March 2013. One year later I still have floaters in both eyes, double vision in the right, continual light flashing on left side of left eye, and a curved black curtain on left side of left eye. Have been back several times to correct problems and was charged each time. Was told I could have a new lens placed over the one in my left eye, again at my expense, but that may not help. Suggested LASIK surgery. Kept telling me my eyes were fine even though I told him about the problems. Suggested glasses. Why did I have cataract surgery if not to avoid his other suggestions. Can not recommend this doctor.

I find both the Dr and his staff to be very nice. Dr Dewey spent a long time explaining my options and the pros and cons of each option. He didnt seem to be rushed and I felt comfortable talking and asking questions. I am having cataract surgery and did price checking and their prices are very resonable. When I left the nurse told me if I had any questions on the medications to not hesitate to call..
