Horrible doctor! Laughs in your face. Doesn't take you seriously. Doesn't have a clue. One of, if not the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor!

Dr. Gogu treated my elderly father for bronchitis that was getting worse on a Sunday, and I was very impressed with his thoroughness and concern. (He accepts not only regular insurance, but also MediCare and MedicAid, which is a plus for many elderly patients.) Over two successive days, he gave my dad antibiotic injections, breathing treatments, and a chest X-ray, plus he prescribed an antibiotic for my father, which put him back on the road to recovery. A few days later, I became sick and went myself to Dr. Gogu. He immediately recognized me and asked how my father was doing. He was a good listener and prescribed a Z-Pack for me since I was heading out of town and didn't want to get any sicker. My elderly mother is now moving to San Antonio, and she will be going to Dr. Gogu as well for general care. He has a great bedside manner and seems very knowledgeable and responsive.

AVOID AT ALL COST. My daughter was seen there and waited a long time to be seen and then was tested for everything imagineable to get the costs up and then all they prescribed was a nasal decongestant and they even called it in after hours so my daughter couldn't even pick it up until the next day. When I called their after hours number, I was able to talk with the nurse practitioner who assured me she would call in a antibiiotic prescription to a 24 hour pharmacy but never did. My daughter drove sick and waited 1-1/2 hours only to learn they weren't calling anything in. I called the after hours line back and was told they got ahold of Dr. Gogu and that we would have to call the office back in the morning during regular hours. I asked that they have the doctor call me and was told the doctor would not be calling me back. I was in disbelief. How unprofessional is that. The idea that this doctor doesn't put patient first is disgusting.

Upon moving to San Antonio several years ago, I had been to several doctors. I saw an ad for $10 off for Dr. Gogu. I have been going to him ever since and he is the primary care doctor for my family. His office staff and nurses are always attentive. Dr. Gogu has extremely good bedside manner and is never in a rush. The day of my daughter's high school graduation I fractured my foot. I called the office and informed them I needed medical assistance and did not have time to go to the emergency room. They advised me to come and they would get me in and out before the graduation. Dr. Gogu took xrays, gave me crutches, other instructions, referral to an orthopedic doctor and pain medicine. I was in and out at least two hours before graduation and my injury did not ruin my daughter's day. Whenever I go to see Dr. Gogu, he always asks how the family is doing. I've never waited long because I never get a chance to finish reading the magazines. Looking for a doctor. Go See Dr. Gogu.

I first saw Dr. Gogu last spring on an urgent care basis for hypertension. As an RN, I work with many doctors each day, and I was very impressed with Dr. Gogu. He was very knowledgable, friendly, and thorough. I have continued to use him as my family doctor. He is honestly the best doctor I have ever gone to.

Very rude doctor! Never again will i go see him. He is unhelpful, seemed like he was in a hurry to leave... very unprofessional! The staff also lacks customer service, they didnt even greet me when i cam in. all they asked was "have u been here before?", first start off with "Hi, how are you today... " or something nicer!!! very unsatisfied!
