A small procedure became a life threatening emergency due to her negligence at multiple junctures. I won’t go into specifics because it has become a legal matter, and I reported her to the medical board. Here are a few things I can share.
1. For missed appointments she had tier system for the same 30min time slot based on what she was going to charge your insurance. She is optimizing her practice to milk the insurance with quick outpatient procedures.
2. She has no emergency call service or after hours support. AND she does not answer or return calls to her emergency number. She is doing INTERNAL surgeries! What doctor doesn’t have an emergency service??! Therapists have answering services for after hours.
3. After my experience, 2 people reached out with their stories of her leaving a needle or other item inside the rectum. This is different from mine but worth noting.

4. Less important- None of the staff assisting with medical procedures are in scrubs. Dr. Million usually looks disheveled and her office sofas have been there since the 90s at least.

Dr. Million's office is more interested in selling surgeries than ensuring their patients are well informed to avoid high risk procedures. The office manger, Mariam, is audaciously rude and money driving, often encouraging patients to proceed with a surgery because her office has the best prices.

In addition, for a general consultation, the doctor will perform a number of extra procedures without informing you there will be an extra charge, or that she did perform extras and that you should be aware there are extra charges. The office has a pushy feel and is run more similar to a profit-driven business than attempting to create a trustworthy relationship.

Dr. Million saved my life! I had been told by 3 other MD's, including a specialist, that I had a benign skin tag. Dr. Million suspected otherwise and it turned out to be stage 2 cancer. I can't thank her enough. She is very gentle, compassionate and affordable. A friend of mine without insurance went to Dr. Million for an in office surgery and it was around $400. In Sacramento the MD's wanted several thousand. You can't go wrong with Dr. Million.
