Dr. Stowell has been my PCP for over 5 years and I have always found him compasionate and helpful. He listens AND answers my questions. He takes my concerns into account when recommending treatment options. He orders tests appropriately and not simply to be ordering something. He refers me to specialists when necessary and always asks if I have a preference of available doctors or facilities. He has called me personally with results and never made me feel like I was being rushed during my office visit. I wish the office staff, were better about communicating in a timely manner, especially the triage nurses and his covering colleagues should take a lesson on how to provide quality patient care.

This is the most unkind doctor I have ever seen He made me drive over a thousand miles to get a renewal prescription for colostomy bags and then refused to give them to me. He finally relented and gave me a non refillable prescription. I have terminal cancer and he insisted on reading my chart out loud to me after I told him I did not want him to do that as it is very depressing to me. He emphasised words like TUMOR, he was as nasty a person I have ever met anywhere. His final words to me were I won't treat you. I had never seen this doctor before so he had no reason to dislike me so much. I was upset for a year over this man.
