I had trouble breathing through one of my nostrils. I thought I had a deviated septum. I did not. I made a hasty decision, based on all deductibles, etc., paid up for that year....he whipped out the papers to sign for the surgery. my own mistake. if I had not based my decision on money, I would have realized that he did not examine my nose, discuss the problem... so now my septum bone is broken, my nostril is more closed up so I can barely breathe through it day or night ( used to be only night). if I look inside, I see that the flesh of that nostril shows a very very narrow passage, a fraction of the size of the other, functional nostril. and this man had been in practice for 20 yrs. at the time. I am stunned that he could act in such a way and not be able to fix my nostril after so many years in practice. do not let him go near you or especially your children.

Dr. Patterson was knowledgeable in what an ENT does. However I could have looked that up on line. He never looked at my sons medical history. He told me that if he had ear infections that he would put tubes in if that's what I wanted. I wanted to know if that is what he needed. I now made an appt with a different practice.

This message is more about the practice itself rather than the doctor. The staff is not very responsive. Plan on waiting a minimum of 30 mins in the waiting room after your scheduled aptmt. I always schedule the first apt of the day at 8am and it is alway 9am before I see the doctor. My opinion is the focus is on moving you in and out for your money and not on your overall health and satisfaction.
