This man /doctor is a horrible person. I went to him for a second opinion and he treated me horribly. He was rude and offered no support. His nurse who was being trained followed me out after the appointment because he was so offensive to me to apologize to me. I've never been treated so cruelly by a doctor. Don't waste your time. I wish I would have read these reviews first!

I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS OF THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED AND SUSPECT THAT THE SURGERY WAS PERFORMED PRIMARILY BY A RESIDENT. I WAS TREATED COOLEY AND STONEWALLED IN RESPONSE TO MY DISSATISFACTION WITH MY CONDITION.

Dr. Schaffer is not a competent surgeon. His mindset seems to be "get 'em in, get 'em out". He replaced my knee two years ago, and I still cannot bend it past 100 degrees. I was in intensive care following the procedure for a week. He did not follow up on me at all - he let other physicians on rotations follow up. Although his training and background may look impressive when researching him, his interests are too divided. His time is divided between some surgeries and administrative duties. His time is not 100% devoted to patients and surgeries - and that shows in his abilities in the operating room.
