Dr. Shirley is the best there is. I was so sad to hear watauga womens center closed down. I moved away to Illinois in July but just found out my sister is expecting a baby and I told her she should see him but I havent been able to find where herelocated or even if he did so if anybody knows could you let me know? Dr. Shirley is the best there is. He is in high demand, so there is sometimes a wait to see him, but his expertise and wonderful bedside manner are well worth it. He has years of experience, but he's not one of those doctors who's set in his ways, but embraces whatever is best for his patients. We moved away from Boone just over a year ago, and I now live an hour and a half away from his office, in a large city that has many other ob/gyns, yet I drive an hour and a half to see him. I hope that says it all. He's a great doctor--kind, compassionate, experienced. You can't go wrong with Robert Shirley.
