My mom's physician referred to Dr Bender. We made appointment and were running 10 minutes late. When we reached her staff asked the doctor and she turned my mom away. Gave an appointment of more than a month after. Even after I specifically mentioned that she needs an urgent examination. His doctor has no heart or soul. Just a money making factory. Very disappointed.

I am 35 yrs old, from india and I delivered a baby boy in July . Dr. Bender was my OBGYN. I have been in US for almost a decade and she is one of the best doc I have met. She believed in me and made me very comforting during all my visit. I did read the all the ratings before I met her but as is said never judge a book by its cover I decided to meet her once before changing my mind. Not to mention she was referred by my PCP as I had a case of misscarriage earlier and was told that she has good expertise in dealing critical cases in her career. I feel very happy that I did the right thing, she was very helpful and caring during my delivery as well as during postpartum. She also visited me at night the day I had delivered to follow and check I was doing ok before she left, that was very humane of her. I was190 lb before pregnancy but she still showed hope and trust that everything will be fine. I recently moved out if town as my husband changed his job. I miss her a lot and even my 6 wk follow up visit after delivery was very memorable. Some ratings mention that she urges to push faster, that is the need of the hour she is not being impatient . No doc would want to risk two lives. So I would say meet her once then make ur mind.

i have been a sufferer & faced severe health related consequences after having my first child through Bender ,because she did not have the patience to deliver a baby & the time it takes . She was hurring with the process of labor in a very unproffesional way. My sincere recomendations would be to please.... please know the doctor before you choose!

I have gone to Dr. Bender for over 3 years and have always felt treated with respect and compassion. Some of the reviewers have complained about the doctor being impatient and unheard, but I have not experienced this in any way. I have only used this doctor as a GYN, not an OB, however. I recommend her to my friends in need of a new doc all the time.

Patient beware, insurance company would not cover cost of new patient visit because it was coded or set up incorrectly or because doctor provided incorrect or unneccessary services. Too bad because otherwise doctor was ok. Upon follow up staff was very unhelpful and unpleasant.

The first time, she was over an hour and a half late to the appointment. I was pretty disappointed. The second time I went, timing was much better with a wait of only about 20 minutes. She asked plenty of questions and gave plenty of information. I also feel like Dr. Bender never judged me and her staff was absolutely excellent when I almost passed-out in their office. Dr. Bender even came along after I had rested for a bit to check on me. I felt she genuinely cared for me as a patient in a very professional manner.

I had my first child with this doctor.I had a very very bad experience with her.During my labor she was not at all patient she was in a hurry to go & wanted me to rush up and push the baby faster since she had to leave.she tried the vacum method twice when i was fully dialated .The first time the vacum failed & bounced to the wall on the back.she did a third degree cut and did not inform me at all for any precautions.Worst of all she cut my rectum too during the procedure and she discovered it only after all the sutures were put,i developed internal bleeding & so she removed all the sutures & had to put sutures in the rectum ,which she did not inform me.I came to know about all this later in a couple of weeks when i developed recto-vaginal fistula&severe infection. It took more than a year to get the fistula partially corrected by a colo-rectal surgeon.even now i'm not fully healed of the recto-vaginal fistula .I would not recommend this doctor for any pregnant women.

Dr Bender is a very informed and caring Dr. Shae has been very thorough in her lines of questioning and routine testing during my high risk pregnancy. She also seems genuinely concerned for my mental wellbeing. I highly recommend her.

On my first visit, she did not spend any time talking to me or getting to know me. I was disappointed. On subsequent visits she was curt and did not discuss anything with me. I had some test results that should have been given to me by her, but instead by her staff. It took 3+ phone calls to nurses to get the story straight and the diagnosis straight. I am a health care provider and thought i was treated like an idiot who was not allowed to question the care provided. I went to see her 3 times and will not be returning. She also, on my first visit, questioned my monogamy on more than one occasion. I thought that was rude and disresepctful. I answered my health history honestly.
