My family has been seeing Dr. Machler for over 20 years now. He treats everything from my teenager’s acne, catching my melanoma early, to Botox. Arguably one of the brightest physicians I see across any specialist, he also takes the time to consider our ENTIRE health when treating ailments with our skin. His follow-up is not only timely, but you can hear the genuine concern in his voice when he asks how we are. Couple that with boundless energy and genuine passion for the profession, you can tell he truly enjoys helping people. In an environment where healthcare is heavily influenced by the insurance companies and NOT the physicians, Dr. Machler does everything he can to do what is best for his patients, even when it does not benefit his practice. The world could use many more doctors like him.

All 5 of my family member are patients of Dr. Machler. More than once, he has accurately and perfectly diagnosed many unusual ailments we have had. Today, after seeing him about concerning pigmentations on my toe nails that looked like something serious, he alleviated my fears of melanoma by figuring out that it has to do with my ethnicity. He has gone beyond by personally contacting a dermatologist in my daughter's college town to get her an appt. for a rash about which he was concerned and didn't want her to wait until coming home to see him. Also, he went out of his way to call me when I asked his staff for recommendations of another dermatologist for my son who has moved out of the area. Lastly, after referring him to a work friend for a marking that 3 other doctors had no idea what it was, right away Dr. Machler knew what it was and had my friend get genetic testing for a possible condition. He is kind, humorous and truly cares about his patients. Dr. Machler is an old school doctor whose priority is his patients' well being and nothing else.

I brought my mother here and regret it. At first I thought it was just Dr. Machler who was dismissive, even walking away while my mother was in the middle of a sentence. Clearly, there was somewhere else he would prefer to be. PA Lauren, who seemed nice enough at the first appointment, seems to have picked up the same manner. Mom's last 3 questions were answered with "just get the allergy testing and we'll see." Unfortunately for mom, it was not an allergy, and she suffered needlessly because it was easier to put her off than correctly diagnose and treat her. Dr Machler just yesterday diagnosed it as something completely non allergic when he finally stepped in after all these months. At the VERY least, the doctor and the PA need to have enough compassion to develop a poker face and not show such obvious disdain for the elderly. This might be a great place for cosmetic procedures, but don't go there if you expect a caring attitude towards the elderly OR a team approach to treatment.

Dr. Machler and his staff are true examples of how an MD and his staff should treat patients! He is very knowledgeable, thorough and sensitive to the needs of his patients. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of an exemplary physician practice. I have been going to his office for almost ten years.

You can tell very quickly that Dr. Machler really enjoys his job. He is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He explained the condition I had in a very down to earth matter and answered my all questions. The office is very modern and efficient - you check in with an iPad instead of filling out tons of paperwork. One of the few doctors that has a good bedside manner.

Dr. Machler has been a tremendous help to my child with severe eczema. He looked skin care habits as well as topical treatments to control the condition. I wish he participated with Aetna.
