Olson is, like a litany of "shrinks" an Rx-absusive mess, who likes to quote himself. If you feel like "contributing" then...Go ahead. Personally, March of Dimes is more direct, with much more appreciable side-effects.

Dr. Olson patiently was able to prescribe the best regimen of medications for my adult ADHD in a short amount of time. His showed his genuine concern for this sometimes cash strapped patient by often (after giving the prescription) making sure I could receive very expensive psychotropic medications at much reduced prices. It took me around 20 years to find a doctor like Dr. Olson who competently help get me the correct medicinal prescription for my ADHD regimen.

Although I am not a patient of his anymore, I still have mixed feelings about this doctor. I strongly believe as a person he is a great guy. Not once did I believe him to be rude or unethical, he has an exceptional bedside manner... however, I felt that some of his treatments were questionable. I am educated in pre-med, and I am still learning, but I look back and find a lot of his reasoning to be a little off skew. They are usually pretty flexible when it comes to medicine emergencies, which is good. Once again, I think he is a great person with good intentions, but I am not sure of the efficiency of his treatment. I dropped him as my physician after he denied me refill requests because "I was not his patient anymore." This was something that I wished to be communicated differently. In conclusion, I recommend another psychiatrist other than Dr. Eric Olson, MD.

I gave this doctor three years to try and help me. He didn't. I was over medicated. Although he comes off as knowledgable, I feel that he isn't in sync as a psychiatrist. I would say this doctor is not a good choice for psychiatric matters.

He spent a lot of time quoting books and movies and talking about himself. Loaded me up on so many meds I went from being functional to being completely nonfunctional. I have been 100% better since getting off all that crap and away from psychiatry. It's a great place to go if you want to end up a chronic, nonfunctional patient.

With psychiatry, you never know just what the right medication is. With time and cordination, Dr. Olson will help you find the right treatment. His office staff is also available in emergencies; I feel he truly cares for his patients.
