After several years, I have become very disappointed in the care and attention given to me by both Dr. Magaldi and his staff. It is evident to me that the practice no longer cares about patients. I was told that I would have to order and pay for a very expensive drug because the practice will no longer order it. I have changed doctors and now the drug is again covered by my insurance.

I am sorry to hear that some people had negative experiences with Dr Magaldi but I have always had the best care from him and his associates. He is willing to listen to any concerns, answers questions to the best of his ability and is never condescending like some doctors can be. The only negative is that there usually is a longer than normal wait time in the office but that is because during the visit he takes his time and doesn't rush you out the door.

I saw this MD for several years beginning in my mid 20's until my early 30's. Initially, he seemed caring and ran blood tests but when the results came back inconclusive, he became more and more inattentive and just kept throwing meds at me instead of figuring out what was wrong. It got to a point where he actually said all of my problems were in my head, that there was nothing physically wrong with me...at 32, I wound up chronically vented due to muscle issues (believed to be auto immune in nature). A few more years down the road, I finally got a diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos syndrome after research on my part and seeing a geneticist who specialized in such disorders. Needless to say, nothing was "in my head"...unfortunately, I am not the only individual who was treated this way or had mis or under diagnosis of illnesses. I am finally in very capable hands after a long journey of searching.

Please know this is a review of Dr. Magaldi and not his staff. Dr. Magaldi is irresponsible and is more interested in making money (bilking insurance companies and the federal government) than he is helping his patients. In an attempt to win over his patients trust, he employs a fake caring attitude and overprescribes them drugs to make them happy. These are not just my opinions, they are supported by the US Attorney's Office and former employees. Check out an article from the 9/22/2010 edition of The Register Citizen that documents his fraudulent activities and the fines his practice paid to settle claims that he falsely billed Medicare and had unlicensed people performing services.

I have been seeing Dr. Magaldi for several years. I find him to be concern and caring. He orders drugs as needed and has helped to make my life more pain free. I would recommend him to anyone. He is the best!

After seeing this doctor for 13 years, and having built what I thought was a trusting doctor-patient relationship he put false information in my medical record--which he later (when I confronted him) said he would change because he wouldn't want that in his medical record. (Not because it never occurred.) He rx'd me so much fiorinal with codeine and soma, I could have been a dealer. He also put me on two other medications, one of which I am addicted to. (Was finally able to get off the rest.) Finally I saw him 3 times because of a debilitating, progressive infamatory problem with my hands. Each Dr. who saw me referred me back to him, yet he became progressively more hostile. Finally I was referred to UCONN by my PCP. My Vit. D level was 11, and I was nearing hospitaliation. I was treated by Hd. of Rhem. @ UConn. But I couldn't escape a call from Magaldi who had treated me for fibromyalgia stating the only time he would run a Vit D. test is if a patient had achy muscles HELP !

I saw, this doctor for years in the 90's. I had severe arthritic pain, neuro symptoms, which should have suggested Lyme to him. It did not. I assume I got the standard Lyme test which was negative. Standard Lyme tests are WORTHLESS. He assured me I did not have Lyme. Fast forward 15 years after numerous ER visits for tachycardia, arrhythmia, multiple orthopedic surgeries incl shoulder replacement, sudden ataxia, seizure-like episodes of bilateral arm paralysis, and GUESS WHAT? It was chronic LYME DISEASE ALL ALONG. He missed it and I now I am trying to beat a multi-system disseminated infection with hi-dose antibiotics. I have the spine of an 82 year old man, I am only 62. Had Magaldi LISTENED to my symptoms he would have diagnosed me and treated me in the early stages. DO NOT see this doctor if there is ANY possibility you have Lyme. He is a LYME-DENIALIST.
