Arrogance wouldn’t concern me if his performance made up for it but it didn’t. He left loose parts in my shoulder and a scar about 7 inches long, which he said would only be 3 inches. When I asked about it at follow-up visit he just said “I did what I had to do”. He wouldn’t even take the time to look in his notes as to the reason why.

Excellent, skilled surgeon who treated my shoulder injury with the utmost care, confidence, and professionalism. From my initial visit, I felt i was in good hands (figuratively and literally!). Have been in contact all during recovery, and feel comfortable reaching out for more consultation as needed.

Dr. Warner is an excellent doctor as well as a very compassionate person. His level of skill and understanding is a priceless treasure to the patients that are fortunate enough to find him. I was injured in a car accident. It was over 2 years before my local doctors finally gave me the scan that showed that my sternoclavicular joint was fractured with a posterior dislocation. I had developed bone spurs that were compressing major vascular structures. The joint was torn and I was bone on bone where the SCJ comes into the breast bone. Once they finally found it, the local doctors told me I would have to live with it as the surgery was a 50/50 survival. I researched a lot and was blessed to find Dr. Warner. I drove almost 5 hours to seek his care. The pain from the injury was constant and any movement of my shoulder caused painful locking. I could not sleep or get comfortable and was in pain constantly. I was having trouble health-wise as a result of this injury as well due to the vascular compression. I could feel the bone spurs scratching if I coughed and I was continuing to get worse.

Once I met Dr. Warner and his team I knew I was in the right place. He understood exactly was I was going through, and although this surgery is very rare, as few people sustain this kind of injury , he assured me that he could help restore my life giving me some pain relief as well as a range of motion of my shoulder. Before I met him, I was unable to do all things I enjoyed. I couldn't even walk my dog because if she pulled at all the pain was debilitating. Any force on my right side could be felt on my left side as the structures are connected through the collarbone area. I went from being an active person to someone that seldom did anything and the things I did do caused severe pain.

I had the surgery in 2019 and am happy to report that within 6 months I was well on my way to full recovery and was pain free. Within a year normalcy had returned to my life. It is now two years later and I can still do all the things that I enjoy in life, the surgery was my miracle. I can bike ride, swim, snowmobile, walk the dog, mow the lawn, and enjoy my life. The surgery was a hard one mentally and physically, I won't sugar that, but the results were phenomenal and I thank God every day that Dr. Warner came into my life.

I highly recommend him and his team. He is a miracle worker, and in my case saved my life, first by relieving vascular compression from bone spurs and secondly by giving me back my quality of life. I was so scared going in that day, but he came to see me before the procedure and peace came over me, I had full trust that I would be okay. Thank you Dr. Warner from the bottom of my heart!! Melissa G.

Do not see him if you have EDS, he doesn’t understand it, nor does he care to learn about it. Additionally he makes his waste of a fellow do most of the work only to repeat everything and treat you like you’re barely sentient.

I am a Police Sergeant in the northeast in a department of approximately 450 officers. I suffered a major shoulder injury and thought my career in law enforcement was over, but I was fortunate enough to come across Dr. Jon Warner's information on the web which prompted me to reach out. I am so grateful to Dr. Warner and pleased that I was patient enough to wait for him to perform my arthroscopic shoulder surgery. I was on a bit of a journey, visiting with different Dr. 's before I met with Dr. Warner. I remember my first visit with him clearly and he described my shoulder as an irreparable rotator cuff tear. I mean, I was bad! I had a missing tendon and 2 large tears in the rotator cuff. It wasn't a typical rotator cuff surgery. What I had going on was much more complicated and the fact that Dr. Warner was the ONLY Dr. to tell me that, I knew he was the right Dr. to perform the surgery. Not to mention he is so sought after - Chief of Mass General Hospital Shoulder Service, Founder and Medical Director of the Boston Shoulder Institute, with over 30 years of experience. I mean WOW!!! Talk about credentials! I was so honored to be a patient of his and actually have my surgery performed by him. His staff was amazing as well, they took great care of me. Betty you are the BEST!! Betty helped me on numerous calls in securing coverage from the insurance companies. We all know that can be a hassle! After surgery I understood my care plan, I was provided direct contact information to his fellows for any questions I had while at home. I was also provided a disc to view my full surgery, and a written outline of exactly what was done. I mean, is that not AMAZING or what?! Don't worry! The disc wasn't gruesome; it was a camera recording of what was happening inside the shoulder area where he worked. Fascinating really!!

Fast forward to current, I've been doing my PT and recently visited with Dr. Warner for my last visit, he and his staff said I am ahead of where they would expect me to be in the healing process. It's been about 7 months since my surgery and I'm at about 75% full recovery. I can do things I couldn't do before the surgery without pain. It's truly amazing how well my shoulder is coming along and I owe it all to Dr. Warner and his staff. I couldn't say enough great things about my experience. I am so glad I chose Dr. Warner, and if you're reading this, believe me, you will too. Take care! And another big, HUGE thank you to Dr. Warner.

I saw Dr Warner for a consult after i had a proximal humerus fracture that was treated with an open reduction with internal fixation - It was well done by a spectacular Orthopedic surgeon- unfortunately it eventually failed due to avascular necrosis of the humeral head. I was referred to Dr JP Warner after researching his history and speaking with patients who had been treated by him I was fortunate to have a consult and my surgery -total reverse shoulder replacement was performed by Dr Warner - I am 10 months out and I have almost normal function . He was and has been amazing . I went for a consult expecting that there was nothing he could do , to a totally functional shoulder and able to continue my career as a dental hygienist . His staff has been beyond helpful, very attentive and caring

Excellent Doctor, Betty, has been absolutely unprofessional with little regard for patient care. I have been trying to have documents sent to the insurance carrier for nearly 2 months with nothing but empty promises from Betty. I am looking to speak directly with Dr. Warner at this point due to the extended time frame and her lack of professional approach to her job.

I am very grateful to Dr. Warner and his excellent medical staff for replacing my severely arthritic shoulder with a new one. My pain is gone, I have a full range of motion, and I was back to playing golf after 5 months. I diligently followed his post-surgical instructions pertaining to medications and physical therapy, and experienced very little pain or discomfort during my recovery. Appointments were either on-time or close to it, important since I traveled 2 hours from Connecticut. His website (bostonshoulderinstitute.com) is very informative. Dr. Warner deserves the highest of recommendations.
