This doctor is worth every penny. I had tried everything to help myself. I had been to Naturopathic doctors, GPs, dermatologists, tried all sorts of natural remedies, etc. I spent so much $$! I had been told countless times that 'everything was normal' and 'you're fine' yet I felt like crap. When your hair is falling out, your skin is crazy oily and breaking out everywhere and you're an anxious mess, you know you're not fine! I wasn't even sure if it was my hormones at first, but after reading his book I realized that it had to be. I was simply very sensitive to slight hormonal fluctuations like thousands of other women. Upon seeing him I told him about all my concerns and fears (including Yaz BCP) and he eased all my worries. He started me on a medication routine and in a few months I had glowing skin and thick hair and was all smiles! Adjusting to the meds took some time for me, but it was so worth it. I wish I had known about him years ago! I will always be thankful to Dr. Redmond.

7 years ago I flew from CA to visit Dr. Redmond. I had NO idea what was going on with my body and had been to doctor after doctor who said everything was 'normal.' I was breaking out in these weird, dry yet oily acne-like rashes on my chest and back, my hair was falling out, my periods were all over the place, and I felt horribly anxious (mostly because I didn't know what was wrong with me). Dr. Redmond checked my hormones and all the tests came back 'normal' but he told me that they may not be normal for me! He prescribed me a low dose birth control and 100 mg of spironolactone. I was sure it wasn't going to help and reluctantly agreed to take them. I was SO glad I did! A few months later I felt great! My skin was beautiful and glowing, my hair was thick, and my cycles were regular and easy! I honestly did not believe the treatment was going to help, but it did! Dr. Redmond helped me get my life back when I thought it was over. I had no idea hormones were responsible. Thanks Dr. R!

I went to see Dr. Redmond after visiting many other physicians for my hair loss. I had a lot of hair and had lost about 60% of my hair. It was very distressing. Dr. Redmond listened to my concerns and did not dismiss my hair loss as being hereditary or in my mind. Those were some of the comments I received from other doctors. He put me on a program to help stop the hair loss. My hair has definitely stopped falling out in clumps and have actually started growing back. I am very pleased with Dr. Redmond and I know I would be almost bald if it were not for him.

Dr. Redmond has helped me keep my PCOS under control since 2005. I've always been happy with his approach and his advice. I'm looking forward to having him in my corner when I try to conceive in a few months!

Hello Dr. Redmond & Staff!! I just wanted to say that since my visit on May 2, I have renewed hope and enthusiasm that "everything will be okay"!! I think I skipped all the way back to my son's apartment at 240 East 82nd Street last Saturday. I do appreciate your time(over an hour) with me - most doctors just about push you out the door after 10 minutes . . . I was most impressed with your knowledge about EVERYTHING. My own GYN dismissed low estrogen as a factor in my hairloss. Go figure?????? I applied my first Vivelle Dot today.

I do not understand why most of the reviews here are negative but the Dr. Geoffrey Redmond that I saw was completely helpful! I came to see him all the way from Canada after suffering from 14 years of hormonal acne. He was very kind, answered ALL my questions, made me feel that there is hope for my condition and he was just beyond my expectations. The high fee to be able to see him is well worth it. I would recommend him to anyone out there who wants answers about their condition when no other doctor has helped them. I came out of that room feeling optimistic of my future again. Best of luck!

i decided to see dr. redmond after reading his book. at the time, i was seeing another endocrinologist in nj who was somewhat helpful, but i was still shedding. i decided to see dr redmond because his book was so insightful. i thought that he would be able to help me control my hair loss, because after reading the book cover to cover, he seemed so knowlegable about the subject. he does not accept insurance, so i had to pay $750.00 out of pocket, plus travel costs. i tried to look past his attitude, but he seemed unresponsive to my questions. he prescribed for me aldactone, finestride, and a vivelle dot patch. i expressed concern because on the packaging of the estrogen patch one of the side effects is hair loss. when i expressed concern, he told me that it's not an issue. as of today, i've lost more hair than i did before my first visit with him over a year ago. dr. redmond never returns my calls. i'm so upset, but now realize that i need to seek another doctor.

I had severe acne, irregular menses and balding since past 12 years and had been to several local endocrinologists and prescribed medications for pcos but things were still worsening. I thought of giving dr Geoffrey after several failed attempts even though I had to go see him specially in ny from ca and pay him 750 out of pocket. Imade the wrong decision because his diagnosis was wrong and biased without any proper thorough detailed lab tests. He gave me enough time and diagnosed me as pcos without detailed tests and prescribed me spiro and Natazia. In order to double-check and be sure I consulted another local endocrinologist who did a series of detailed tests and figured out that I never had pcos and was being misdiagnosed all these years. I have late onset adrenal hyperplasia about which dr Geoffrey never mentioned. It's not at all worth to go to him as it is both financially and emotionally draining. He has a very limited knowledge and most likely you will be diagnosed with pcos

I consulted Dr Redmond regarding severe adult acne. He ordered a slew of expensive tests, then when I asked about the results, he said it was impossible to derive anything from a single test conducted at only one point in the menstrual cycle, which left me wondering why he had me do them (and PAY for them). I work as a researcher in the field of hormones, therefore I'm well-read in the latest findings. Dr Redmond's information was VERY outdated, claiming that certain methods were impossible, when I have been reading about their success for years already. He was not willing to discuss any ideas with me, and just asserted that he was right. So I feel like I paid an enormous sum of money out of pocket not for his expertise, but for his possession of a prescription pad. The meds he prescribed came with a bunch of side effects (constant respiratory problems, absurdly frequent urination), but he wasn't interested in discussing the matter and just advised me to take the meds. Never again!
