Dr was in for literally 30 seconds said well because you are young we won't do surgery and completely wrote off my pain and symptoms. Didn't even view the MRI and read the conclusion off the paper. When I called the next day to tell them how bad the pain is they said well you are getting better, even though this has been a chronic issue for a year. Completely worthless appointment and zero empathy or bedside manner.

I recently had spinal surgery with Dr. El-kadi on my lower back. The experience I had with the Dr. and his staff was exceptional. In my condition, it was difficult to even walk. Since the procedure all pain is gone . I got my life back and am able to do things I haven't been able to do for a long time.

Extremely poor communication skills. Dr. El-Kadi recommended and performed a micro discectomy and laminectomy. Have more pain post surgery than prior. At follow up visit he stated that my condition will require more extensive surgery including fusion. I had previously consulted an orthopedist and that is exactly what he recommended, but, deferred to Dr El Kadi due to his (what I have found to be) undeserved reputation. Also extremely unprofessional. He told his PA when exiting the exam room that “I don’t need to see this patient again”. When I called his office to discuss my condition the nurse stated “the Dr will not see you again because the procedure you need is more complicated than he is comfortable with”. Absolutely will never see this physician again and strongly recommend against anyone doing so. As another review stated, when I had post surgical issues I was simply blown off.

Dr. El Kadi is truly within the ELITE class of doctors/neurosurgeons, he and his entire staff are profoundly knowledgable, extremely experienced, professional and give "health care" it's intended definition. Dr. El Kadi found three bulging discs in my neck, MRI (I thought it was a lumbar issue) the discs had bruised my spinal cord. Dr. EL Kadi performed a three level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion C-3- C6 Aug. 15 2022. immediately after surgery I had no back pain, no more sciatica, after two months I walk almost normal, I'm pain free. I recommend him to everyone, even with the most minor symptoms. Truly a very experienced genius!!! Thank you Dr. El Kadi and your entire staff, including the staff at UPMC Passavant Hospital. Eternal gratitude!

Dr. El-Kadi was respectful, thorough, and did not rush the appointment. He was detailed in not only reviewing my condition, but also all of my options. There was no pressure to choose an option for treatment; however, he provided his recommendation with reasons to support it. The entire staff, from the PA to the check-out staff, were very friendly, respectful, and extended their availability for any questions or concerns. I am due to have neck surgery and have been extremely anxious about it. Dr. El-Kadi really managed to put me at ease.

This doctor came in 1 second and the next one he was gone. Came in to tell me he will order an MRI and ran away. No physical exploration where I was having pain, never addressed directly to me but his nurse /assistant.Nothing. He seems to be only interested if you are a surgery case then you will worth his time. I will never returne to this provider. Terrible .

I had a laminectomy and micro discectomy L2-L3 and have more pain than prior to surgery and when returned to this physician for follow up appt and more imaging was basically told to follow up with pain management who I already had seen prior to surgery and imaging still showed impingement in same place as prior to surgery..very disappointed that I feel like I was just blown off instead of dealing with what is actually causing the pain
