I do not prescribe controlled substances to patients who abuse them. I assume this is the source of your discontent. I wholeheartedly disagree with the notion that I am a pill pusher. In fact, my refusal to continue prescribing is most likely what triggered this negative review.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Van Doren for over 5 years. If you’re looking for a kind, no nonsense, helpful Dr. I recommend him. I struggle mainly with anxiety, agoraphobia and OCD. I was anxious to try meds, however I’m glad I did because my life has improved greatly. Thank you!

Rude, Makes assumptions without evidence, abuses his position and power and seems to enjoy it. overprescribes antipsychotics and is arrogant and self absorbed.

Biography

Dr. Van Doren is board certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of clinical experience. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his psychiatric residency training at the University of Arizona. He has a broad background with extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar, obsessive compulsive disorder, personality disorders, chemical dependency as well as most forms of mental illness. He has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Van Doren is an advocate for mental health. He believes that excellent mental health care requires a balanced approach which addresses the mind, body, spirit and community.
