In October 2022, I suffered an achilles tendon rupture and was referred to Dr. Saxena by my family doctor. I underwent surgery on October 26th. Unfortunately, from December 5th onwards, I experienced significant complications. My left foot swelled, and the wound continued to have discharge for three months, with unabsorbed stitches appearing every month. I was very worried about my condition, but Dr. Saxena showed no concern or interest in my situation. He just simply advised me to clean my wound at home using Alcohol Pre pad every night, and told me this tendon recovery normally need to take 5-6 months.

In February, I requested a referral to the Stanford Advance Wound Care, but Dr. Saxena refused to provide it. I was extremely disappointed and felt that he lacked medical ethics. Dr. Saxena seemed more interested in promoting his surgical skills and reputation than providing quality care to his patients. He frequently mentioned that he performed the most surgeries in the Bay Area and that my case was only 1% of his many operations. This dismissive attitude made me feel very unsupported during my recovery.

Additionally, when I expressed an interest in learning more about Achilles tendon surgery, Dr. Saxena repeatedly directed me to his website rather than taking the time to explain the procedure to me himself.

In summary, I found Dr. Saxena to be a doctor who prioritized surgery over patient care. If given the chance, I would never seek his services again. Thankfully, I was able to find a second doctor at a different wound care clinic who was able to help me with my chronic wound without needing a referral.

Horrible in every way. I let him talk me into surgery and I cannot run any more.

Dr Saxena doesn't listen to you. He says he understands and can fix you but surgery is the only option.. I found another doctor who cured all my pain without surgery. Dr Saxena shouldn't be allowed to practice as a doctor

I wasted my whole afternoon to see this doctor that all he did was talk about all of the things he has accomplished.

He's pleasant enough, but it seems that his only solutions involve injections or surgery. I did both, but ultimately neither helped. Maybe it's me. Or could it be that he is so very limited to certain conditions and procedures that anything that falls outside that experience is beyond his help

I visited Dr. Saxena because I had heard he was famous. I found him to be arrogant and rude. He did not seem to care, he wanted to hurry out of the office as fast as possible. I felt I wasted my time and money. I have seen a different podiatrist since and have had great results. I would avoid this doctor.

Dr. Saxena is a sports-related specialist and an avid marathon runner, himself. I had a sports-aggravated problem with my toes and went to Dr. Saxena for a second opinion. He understood my problem better than my regular podiatrist, explained why the planned procedure would not work well for me, explained which procedure he would prefer, and gave me suggestions if I wanted to do further research. I did more research, his advice sounded much better than the previous podiatrist's plan, and I had him do the surgery. My feet are working better than expected and recovered quickly. Dr. Saxena is very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Excellent doctor and I will always go back to him and recommend him to others.
