I could not have asked for a better experience with Dr. Mimran. I was frightened at the prospect of back surgery but Dr. Mimran was easy to communicate with, scheduling appointments and surgery was easy and follow up has been "a piece of cake". I have been a good patient too, and have felt very much a part of a team. I feel Dr Mimran is an outstanding doctor and I would recommend him to anyone needing a neurosurgeon.

The nerve pain that went on 24/7 in my neck and right arm left me bed ridden for 5 months. When it was finally determined that I need 2, possibly 3 discs replaced in my neck along with the appropriate plates and screws put in place from C4-C7, I definitely had to take a deep breath. After asking friends, other physicians, and a very well respected physical therapist, one name kept coming up which was Dr. Ronnie Mimran. Mimran has impeccable credentials and a wonderful bedside manner. He genuinely cares about the health and welfare of his patients. He answered all of my questions and treated me with respect. The follow-up care was clearly outlined and I knew what to expect after surgery. The hospital where I had my procedure was Eden Medical in Castro Valley. They have a neurosurgery unit that took very good care of me, which was very important because I have had some not so great experiences at other facilities.

Diagnosed with Caude Equina last year and Dr. Mimran preformed emergency surgery on my back. The surgery went very well, no loss of motor function. He was great, explained very well and has an amazing bed side manner for a surgeon. If only more surgeons where more personable.

Neck surgery 3 months ago. I had 2 discs herniated pushing on my spinal cord. Surgery went well, and I am doing MUCH better. Back to work and I thank Dr. Mimran for that. I definitely would see him again without hesitation.

When I met this Dr. he was great knew exactly what was wrong and said it would be a simple proceedure. I schedule my surger out 4 weeks so I would be getting it the Thursday before a 3 day weekend. I work full-time and go to school full-time so this would mean I wouldn't miss class or work. Then I get a call 3wks later saying he decided to take that day off and can I have the surgery THIS week. My partner had already taken that other day off to give me a ride to and from the hospital. NOW what am I supposed to do? Miss 3days of work and 2 classes instead of 1

I was hit by a **** driver, ended up with a herniated disc that ruptured (L5-S1) 7 years later. In excruciating pain, I was brought in to Eden Hospital by ambulance where Dr. Mimran was standing at the hospital room door to take my records/MRI. He immediately gave us a diagnosis, scheduled me for surgery first thing the next morning. He explained everything to my husband & I, found worse damaged than expected...almost severed sciatic...and fixed it. He is EXTREMELY caring, went to bat for us when no one else could help, made me feel like I was the most important person and was at the top of his priority list. I hadn't been able to walk for over 2 months and I walked out the next day after my microdiscectomy. He is extremely professional and cares very much about my husband & I as people, not just patients. We recommend him to anyone who needs a sound opinion and top priority care. Dr. Mimran has our trust & we deeply respect him.
