He is very unprofessional. I was happy to be a patient for an African American Dentist so I thought. I know marijuana use is legal but I decided not to go back for my follow up appointment because he totally wreaked of marijuana use. I could tell he was high when he was talking to me. Never again. Please beware. I would not recommend my worst enemy to him!

Went to Archer for filling and he did a terrible job and it took him 2 hours to do it. I had pain after his filings and had to go to another dentist to repair the horrible job he did! Never again.

Doctor was rushed and did not address my concerns. He told me what i "needed" and ran out of the room. Well what about my cavities that we just found. "Well you will have to reschedule and shall I sign you up for invisalign ? ". Invisalign ? .....my teeth have perfect alignment. They must be getting kick backs from the company. I will not be going back.

He filled 4 cavities and now one requires a root canal to fix (I see below someone else had the same experience). My initial cleaning and check-up was great so he won my trust, but when he started drilling I immediately knew he was doing a terrible job. He was barely paying attention. I feel so stupid for going to this guy and now I'm going to have to pay $3000 to fix his mistake. Please do not goto Dr. Archer.

I, too, had severe problems with this dentist, e.g., in one instance, pressure was put on fixing minor incident decay in the two upper central incisors, detected by translumination, not X-ray, and I was allegedly not going to feel any difference in tooth structure, due to this type of minor intervention. Instead, the gap he had filled disintegrated immediately upon leaving the office, creating a 1 mm gap, which he was unable to fill or fix, subsequently. The excessive and uneven addition of composite material on the back surfaces of the teeth created irregular shaped teeth that is causing me speech problems. I've spent some $1000 to try and fix this issue with another dentist, but it is proving to be an intractable problem. Other issues concerned failure to properly install a crown that fell out and was poorly shaped. Failure to explain properly what he actually intended to do about it. In fact, as I recall, insufficient short-sentence communication was a big issue with this dentist.

I had such extreme pain after he replaced a filling that I went to another dentist. Just by inserting a metal tool the new dentist (and I) could see he left a large gaping hole in the filling which exposed my root. Outrageous but true. He also did not check for or remove decay before putting in new filling which was the other reason for the extreme pain. This was shown to me on a visual screen by the new dentist by using a dental instrument with a light that reveals decay, both before and after removing it. I cannot describe all the pain I went through because of this dentist and now will probably need a root canal on a tooth that never bothered me in the least before. I should have checked this site before going but wrongly assumed my insurance company verified their dentists. Big mistake.

Twice we were charged by our insurance company for routine cleaning because our appointments were scheduled before the 6-month time lapse. After paying for a crown, I was told by the dental office that I did not pay for it. I told them that I could see the charge on my credit card, but they said that was not proof and I would have to bring the receipt to them. They finally found in their records that I had paid. They routinely try and tell me that I need cleaning every 3 months even though my insurance won't pay for it. There is a constant turn over of staff. I had a crown replaced. After a few weeks, I told Dr. Archer that the tooth still hurt, so he said I "probably" needed a root canal. After waiting for a few weeks, the pain went away, but every time I come into the office that staff (not Dr. Archer) insists that I still need a root canal. I really don't trust this office and so I have since switched to another dentist.
