i took my sick child to him after he had been ill for 4 weeks with cold symptoms.my child was wheezing, coughing up nasty stuff, sleeping 20 hours a day(10 months old)and a 103 fever.I was told that my child had rsv and didnt have an ear infection.he put my child on antibiotic which i thought was odd since it was supposedly a viral illness.i was told if he wasnt better in a few days, that if i brought him back in he would be hospitalized.ok so why the antibiotic?3 days later he was no better(except the fever had came down some)so i decided to get a 2nd opinion at a different dr.As soon as they heard my childs terrible wheezing and coughing, they ordered a chest xray.My child had pneumonia.luckily i knew my child and took him elsewhere before i was told again that it was just a viral illnes.if you use this practice, and you know there is something more going on,demand that you be heard and demand additional testing.they see so many children, that it is just routine to say its a viral illness
