Dr. Craven acted as if I was wasting his time? He was rude and kept cutting me off when I tried to talk, he wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. It was as if every doctor that's treated me over the last 20 yrs is an idiot and He was God.

Too bad there isn’t a zero star rating because that’s what he would get! Sounds like he’s knowledgeable but I wouldn’t still be in worse pain after 2 surgeries than before he cut on me. He has released me saying there is nothing else I can do. Tried to make an appointment to see what else could be done and they won’t even make me an appointment. Stay away from this guy. Once he gets paid he’s done.

Well, i'm going be having surgery AGAIN but NOT with this rude man with the God complex - news flash you are NOT GOD !! He messed up my neck surgery I had already had one years before on another level NOT BY HIM !! It went perfect i did hurt a little more with that one but I didn't have problems my headaches went away and all other problems. Now MR GOD COMPLEX got ahold of me & by the time they got me into my room i was having trouble. I couldn't hardly talk for six months after and he kept saying he didn't want to send me to an ENT well, I'd worked health care too long and know you have to be your own advocate ! I got my primary care doctor to refer me and guess what ? I've got a paralyzed vocal cord and a H*** of a headache ALL DAY EVERYDAY for over FOUR YEARS now - now move to today I have a great NEUROSURGERON (which i would suggest for things like this because my first neck and back were done by one) So on Dec. 28th I am going to have surgery to correct his mess it was NEVER right and now have to pray nothing happens and I can swallow afterand no more damage is done. This is going to be a major thing got three levels to fix = instead of scoliosis where its like an S i'm going forward and making my head fall forward and pushing on my spinal cord. GOD lol said I was fine kept trying to blame my first surgeron BIG RED TRUCK it was NOT from the first one ! I need a good lawyer .... that's what i'm thinking ! I've got nerve damage down my left arm and right side vocal cord paralyzed and headaced all day everyday anyone know a good lawyer ??

Just left his office. He had xrays, walked back in after I put on my pants and said you thoracic spine is the best I have ever seen. I am in severe pain and he said I have reached MMS. I can't believe he read the MRI disk and his xrays i two minutes and was able to say nothing wrong with you, go home and take aleve. Did I happen to mention the RN assigned to me by workmans comp stayed in the exam room as I was being xrayed. I think they had a pow wow while I was out of the room. He was very cocky and thought he was God. Well God doesn't like ugly and he was ugly. Workmans comp is a joke and disastrous. The MRI consultant said I had bulging disk and the WC nurse said well everyone has bulging disk. I now must get a lawyer, I just wanted to be fixed.

I couldn't stand for more than 5 - 10 minutes because of lower back and leg pain. I had exhausted all avenues for relief over the years until I went to Dr. Craven and he diagnosed my condition correctly. People sometimes complain about his lack of a bedside manner. For me, like all relationships, we warmed up to each other as the process proceeded. I under went surgery in January of this year. and now I'm doing great six months later. No pain meds now, etc. In fact, I've done great since the surgery. (Be patient and through during recovery and keep yourself iced to reduce swelling.) I didn't need a hand holding doctor, I needed a great surgeon and in my book I got one in spades.

Doctor Craven was a wonderful doctor, very easy to talk to, and very understanding to my problems. Very good bedside manner, always trying to make sure i was being taking care of either in the hospital, or on a doctors visit. I give doctor craven 5 stars, on a scale of 1 to 10 i give him an 11. Thanks to doctor Craven i'm walking, and back to work again. Thank you so much for being my doctor.

I was diagnosed with a massive ruptured disc between L4 and L5. I could not walk more than a few steps and I could not stand for more than 2-3 minutes. This was a workers comp case. My W.C. adjuster made me an appointment with Dr. Thomas Craven in Tulsa Oklahoma. I read some reviews on the doctor, prior to going to the appointment, a few were bad and a few were great. My wife and I decided to find out for ourselves and went together to our first visit with Dr. Craven.
When we arrived at Central States Orthopedics, it was like a well-oiled machine. As soon as we got checked in, our butts didn’t even have a chance to hit the chair before they called my name and took us to the exam room. We sat down, and a nurse popped in and did her job, and as soon as she left the room the doctor walked in with a smile on and was very nice, and explained in detail what he would to fix my problem. My wife and I decided that we liked him and felt confident in his ability to work on my back, so we scheduled the discectomy surgery. They provided me with meds for pain and scheduled the surgery. We were feeling good about our decision when we left Dr. Craven’s office.
After a pre-operation visit at the doctor’s office to get fitted for a back brace and pick up meds, I went to the Oklahoma Surgery Hospital for a pre-operation check-in and that experience was amazing and so were the staff. They provided me with everything I would need and checked me thoroughly to ensure I was ready for surgery and I was. A week later I was in for surgery.
Doctor Craven worked on my back and as soon as I was out of recovery, I knew it was fixed, my leg pain was gone! After a few hours, I was up on my feet and walking. The next morning I dressed myself and put on my own shoes and took the IV-pole with me down the hall to get coffee. I was ready to go home. 2 weeks after surgery I went back to work on light duty, 4 weeks after that I am back to work without restrictions and very happy with this entire process. I highly recommend Dr. Craven and his team. I couldn’t have asked for a better result.

Dr Craven has a very cocky attitude. He thinks he knows all. He ridicules other doctors without even doing an exam. I would never go back to this so called "surgeon"

I had back surgery 11/11/14 and the after prognosis was and is wonderful. My first step was pain free and I'm still pain free. I've had about every kind of surgery there is in 71 years and have never been more satisfied. I would recommend Dr. Cravens without hesitation.Terry Schroeder/ 2/13/15

Very nice until after surgery. At that point, Dr. Cravens reveals his cocky attitude. If you have any residual or continued problems...you aren't allowed because he will tell you, and I quote, "I fixed you"
