Dr. Chin is an excellent physician when compared to other physicians I've had before at Kaiser and the Camino Group. He is tough like a drill sergeant, which is what I needed to develop healthy habits for my diseases. He is thorough and speedy in responding to my needs. My blood pressure and borderline diabetes have improved dramatically under his care. He does not mince his words when giving his instructions and that is just what I needed. Others may think he is arrogant, but I totally disagree because many patients especially older ones like myself tend to slack off in medication and healthy habits without the persistent reminder from the doctor. Being nice to the patient without being accurate and competent is not a virtue, in my humble opinion. I think Dr. Chin does well on both scores. I have seen the gentle and caring side of Dr. Chin during the time I was most ill and for that I'm most grateful.

Indeed, during my first visit with Dr. Chin, he was arrogant and constantly disrupted me when I was talking about my symptoms. I was a bit offended after he commented my sufferring as "interesting". I almost wanted to change a doctor before decided to give a 2nd chance. The second visit was more pleasant, and he was more helpful. I'll wait and see. This website is amazing, patiences need to be more informed when choosing their doctors.

He seems very knowledgeable but his bedside manner is completely lacking. I have referred to him as my "body mechanic". I was concerned that I was the only one who felt this way, but look at the other ratings. He is smart and has always helped, but he seems to not give 2 cents about how a patient feels or their emotional state. If you don't care how a doctor acts towards you, but is always (and i do mean always) on time, this is the guy for you. He does this by hardly giving you the time of day, diagnose and dash seem to be his mantra.

He is not a good doctor by any means. Dr.Chin does not pay close attention to what we say. Dr.Chin is not knowledgable, must be reported to necessary authorities. I don't recommend this doctor by any means.

I do not recommend Dr. Chin; to anyone! He is very arrogant and extremely rude. Dr. Lawrence Chin is not a Doctor who loves people. He treated me as if I were a specimen; a piece of research. I experienced a very cold and unwelcoming Dr. Chin. He did not explain the treatment or long term effects of my condition. He was blatantly rude and demeaning. He was not open to conversation about my condition. Dr. Chin is a tyrant. His office is clean and I am very pleased with Camino Medical Group however.
