Would not recommend. Our GP had some lesions tested and referred us to him to have 1 in particular removed. He removed a different one claiming it was bigger and therefore should go … the one tested and identified as problematic remains. Arrogant and dismissive will not go back to him !

If anyone is looking for a private plastic surgeon I would not recommend DR. TAM DIEU. I have never felt so put down and judged in my entire life. After being on a public waitlist for 4 years I decided to go private to have my cyst removed on my face because it’s starting to give me a lot of trouble. Now I have a toddler who is still learning the way of life, I could not get her looked after. When I booked the appointment I asked if I could bring my daughter and they said it was fine. Now from the moment I got there I felt judged, when I went into the room with him he was just rude, My daughter was tired and she’s a loud kid she’s a toddler she doesn’t like sitting still. Tam dieu was huffing and puffing at me when my 18 month old was getting upset, told me she was distracting him and continued to keep shaking his head and huffing and puffing basically telling me to control my daughter! He told me that if the cyst in my face is connected to a nerve my face will probably be paralysed and I’ll look like I’ve had a stroke or I’ll have a big long scar. He then told me when I have the surgery I’ll need to have an adult with me next time not my daughter. I AM 21 years OLD. I ended up walking out crying I have never been so judged for being a young mum in my life. anyone knows how hard it is having a toddler.

I have had 6 skin cancers removed by Dr Dieu with another tomorrow. Tam is a gentleman! His bedside manner is 100%. 2 years ago he rebuild my nose due to cancer, a magnificent job.

Last week I had breast explant surgery with Dr Tam Dieu at Dandenong plastic surgery.

I had my implants in for over a decade. It was a big decision for me whether to finally remove them or not.

Since the first consultation, the day of surgery and the post consultation I found Dr Dieu and his team absolutely incredible. They were informative, lots of communication and explained everything well.

I’m happy with the care I received throughout this process and I am happy with my explant results.

There are many surgeons who would have pushed the idea of fat transfer or a lift, but Dr Dieu and his assistant Caz never tried to “up sell” anything and actually gave me lots of confidence on my decision just to explant. I even had a quick question so I directly emailed the team and got a response to again settle any question I had before my surgery.

I’m recovering well and can’t rate this surgeon and the practice high enough. 5 stars all round!

I had rhinoplasty done by Dr Tam Dieu and I couldn’t be happier with the result, he delivered way beyond what I expected. He is a very talented plastic surgeon and I would definitely recommend him

I had surgery twice with Tam Dieu and found him, his front desk staff, theatre nurses fantastic, I had a second breast reduction with Tam, the first was done by another surgeon and I had a bit of trouble with bleeding, I told Tam this and he did his best that it would not happen again.. The surgery was fantastic and driving after 4 days.. He noticed that one had a light pinching of skin and said it happens when having a 2nd surgery from another surgeon and he offered to fix the problem at no expense.. I found him straightforward and very good.. I am thinking of having another work done with Tam..

I was looking for Dr Tam's phone number as he did my breast implants 10 years ago, and came across this review site for him. I can't believe what people are saying! 10 years on and l am still SO happy with them. I am trying to find his number again as l know he is a burns specialist and after what he did for me, he is the one person I am sure can fix a scar on my face.

Remember, Dr Tam is pretty famed for performing the most delicate burns surgery, and from memory, he looked after alot of those affected in the Bali bombings. I even remember saying to him in relation to my implants '...so this must be a walk in the park for you'...and he was not arrogant about it, but was confident and made me feel secure. So don't feel that he is arrogant....your job just might be a really simple one for him.....and maybe you get the wrong impression from him.

So either the negative reviews here are an attempt by competitors to bring him down as they simply can't compare to him, OR they are very few of the hundreds he has done, and we all know that no-one is 100% all the time, and l am sure he would fix anything he didn't do perfect, as one person said here.

Noone should be arrogant though, as each individuals case is special and unique, but I don't think anyone should avoid him if this is the issue, as i personally would prefer a job by an arrogant doctor than a lovely one who isn't going to do as good a job!

Was not impressed at all, he may (I hope) be knowledgeable in his profession but found his attitude to be one of the worst I have experienced. He seems to love talking down to you adding quite condescending comments. Thankfully I spent $200 over two useless visits only and if I decide to pursue treatment definitely won't be going back to him. Zero personality, zero for people skills, and zero for sensitivity and empathy.

Terrible! This guy should not be practising. Stuffed up my surgery then made me pay again to have it fixed only to stuff it up again. Ended up seeking legal advice and learnt there are many more patients with the same issues. He is arrogant, careless and un-professional
