I would not recommend. As a parent you unfortunately have to self advocate for your child since she does not pick up on medical things. She seems to be very “whatever…..” We are looking for a doctor to be knowledgeable about what our child needs for his medical care.

This is the only doctor that we will ever take our children to. She is so caring and knowledgeable! She goes above and beyond. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and spends the time getting to know her patients. Her calling is to care for children and that shows. We are very lucky we found Ashburn Pediatrics!

Poor bedside manners, do not recommend her, I would avoid taking my kids to her, clinically not very competent.

I've had a good experience with Dr. Carroll. She took the time to listen to me about some developmental concerns w/my son while other doctors brushed me aside.

My son is a preemie (now 3.5 yrs old) and when we first started seeing her she was wonderful but over the past 3 yrs she turned out to be exactly how the others rated her. If you question anything, she makes you feel stupid! Her bedside manner with the child is fine but if you contact her via email or phone, she gets ugly and acts like you are putting her out! She prescribes things without first explaing (in a compasionate manner)how the drug will work/effect your child over time and basically acts like you are crazy if you say your child has certain symptoms that the drug can cause (like an inhaler that can cause hyperactivity!). Recently, my child had a severe reaction to the flu shot and she completely denied that it could be from the shot and that he must be coming down with a virus...well there was no virus and in the end we found that it was definitely a reaction to the shot. I do not recommend her if you want a kind, compassionate dr for your child (and you)!

Out of all the doctors and providers at Ashburn Pediatrics, Dr. Carroll is my least favorite. Her bedside manners are lacking. She is very knowledgeable though but tends to convey her knowledge using medical jargon so it is difficult to understand. If you ask her to explain, she gets annoyed and makes you feel dumb.

Awful, completely terrible. Our daughter was flipping out, having an allergic reaction and she was silent and acted like we were putting her out for having her paged at 730PM. Terrible, awful bedside manner. Would not recommend

Dr. Carroll has a wonderful bedside manner and is a wonderful person. Her diagnostics skills are lacking though. She has sent us to the ER on numerous occations each time only to find out my son was fine.

All the doctors at Ashburn Peds are great... she's just my daughter;s primary physician. The staff is very kind.
