Dr. Berkowitz is the best family practice physician in town. I had a terrible case of tonsillitis, and Dr. Berkowitz called me after hours to check in. She really cares about her patients and we have developed a great relationship over the years.

My family and I have known Dr. Berkowitz for many, many years! She is KNOWLEDGEABLE and caring and never rushes us out. Yes, the office needs work, but the care is perfect! I've not met another physician who listens as well, will tell it to me straight but kindly, and even contact me directly after hours... even on the weekends. My grown, out of town children even see her, if they can, when they are in town!

She's ok I guess. I did not like the office, she could renovate it.I fely kind of dirty, old fashioned. Dr. was good at the first time, she asked many questons to know about me more. But later she was just rushing me. She doesn't like to give referrals, that's too bad, my insurance needs me to get one to see specialist. She told me she sees even kids, she is like gynec also. She just want to get all the business in for herself.Well, I have pediatrician for my girl and gynec for myself.Anyway, thinking to switch Dr. now.

I am very impressed by Dr. Berkowitz's knowledge, her compassion and willingness to see a problem through from beginning to end. She always calls me or contacts me with results when she knows I may worry if not. She is always on call when I need her.

I went to see Dr. Berkowitz, I had pink eye and she gave me nothing, she said it would go away on it's own and that I could go to work. I was unlcear myself at how catchy it was and at the urging of family I made an appointment a couple of days later with an eye doctor and got the proper medication. At another earlier apointment she told me I had VERY high blood pressure but would not give me anything to stabilize it, instead she told me that I just needed to excercise more.

The patient is not asked to fill out any medical history forms, and is not asked to have medical records sent from previous doctors. When I went in for migraines, her advice was for me to "Say om." She seems to think that all problems are psychological. Furthermore, over the phone she confused me with another patient, and gave me the wrong medical advice. She also seemed to hold my age against me (mid twenties) as though I was too young to have any real medical problems. She dismissed my symptoms and was very condescending. The office itself was very small and incredibly messy, with files and supplies everywhere. On the bright side, the staff was very nice.

I feel as if she dismisses my symptoms because I'm still fairly young (32). I will be switching soon b/c I feel like something might be overlooked. I went in for a 3 year blood work/physical and she was annoyed that I didn't wait 5 years. The staff is always very friendly-that's one reason I've stayed as long as I have.

Dr Berkowitz is an incredible doctor. She sees all her patients herself instead of having them go to the hospital list, which means she is always on call.

VERY disappointed with this Dr. She refused to believe my hypothyroid symptoms, told me my tsh tests (thyroid test) were normal when in fact they were not (I am now being recommended for thyroid surgery due to suspicious cells). She sent me to the ER when I reacted poorly to a med she prescribed rather than seeing me herself. I have since left her practice - best decision I ever made. As rash as it may sound I hold her responsible for my distaste for Dr.'s. If I am indeed found to have thyroid cancer, I'll loathe her all the more.

I respect Dr. Berkowitz more than any other doctor I have encountered. She is honest, caring, and extremely accurate.
