This was my first visit and all the staff was nice. As soon as I finished the new patient paperwork they called me back to the office. There was a little wait, under 30 minutes. Dr. Meli did stop in my room briefly to apologize for the wait. When I met with him, I was impressed with the the time he took to go over my paperwork and get to know me. My old doctor stopped taking my insurance; I'm so glad I found this doctor, I realized how long it had been since I had a doctor spend time with me and not just an in and out the door experience.

First, I was charged a co-pay for a physical when I should not have been charged. Second, the receptionist (Asian woman with long hair and deep voice) wouldn't take my card because she was on her "lunch break", granted I arrived 42 minutes before my appointment. When she finally came off of her lunch break at my appointment time, I asked her if I needed to update anything and she told me that she had over the phone; come to find out she hadn't and they couldn't find my chart, which resulted in waiting another half hour or so. I didn't see Dr. Meli until over an hour after my appointment time (I had been there over 2 hours already) and when he came in he was gross with food stains and grudge all on his pants and shirt. His idea of doing a physical was listening to my breathing, blood pressure, and ordering test; he didn't look at my throat, nose, eyes, ears, or anything; with him being so filthy, I didn't want him to either. WTF!

My mother was a recovering alcoholic as well as a long term combatant of pill addictions. Unfortunately, she met with Dr. James Meli and fell in love with how easy it was for her to request exactly what prescriptions and dosages she wanted. She was always accommodated without question or concern for her well being. My mother died at a very young age because her body could not handle the onslaught of prescriptions she acquired through this mans office. I just found out today I have an uncle that may be in the same situation with this Dr. The preceding statements are factual and provable. I dare Dr. Meli to mention the word libelous to me. I am legally responsible for what I write here, is Dr. Meil legally responsible for what he writes on his prescription pads?

This Dr was horrible! He failed to ever listen to me. I hate I ever went to him. He was unreasonable and left me feeling like I had wasted both time and money. He is also a ..(sorry to sound rude) but he is just a slob. His appearance is real bad....unclean.
