I never saw Dr. Jo in person on my one & only visit to his office. I requested that he refer me for a scan of my bladder prior to having a cystoscopy, as I believe that my problems are caused by excesssive scar tissue. His response was that if I didn't wish to follow "his care plan" then I should find myself another doctor (which I am happy to do). No problem with staff - they were all very nice,

Beware and run the other way. This man is uro lift insane. He told me this was best for me without any examination or even touching me in any form. I have a friend who Dr. Jo proceeded to do the uro-lift on and now Shands Hospital had to remove it stating it was done improperly. In my opinion, he is a part of corporate medicine looking for the dollars first and little care for the patient. BEWARE!!!

Worst doctor I've ever seen. Two hour wait to see him for 5 mins. Did t even look me in the eye once and it was my initial appointment. Took me off my meds that I was on for 10 years and prescribed me a brand new pill that no insurance covers. Staff is unbelievably rude and hasty and going there makes you feel like you're in a herd of cattle. Doctor had absolutely no bedside manner and is in a rush. Awful experience. Do not go here

My wife was sick with ovarian cancer for several years. So I've had first hand experience with multiple doctors. I've also had a few appointments with doctors here and there. Dr. Jo is among the worst possible doctors I've ever seen. He doesn't appear to listen to the patient, he runs people through his office like a herd of cattle taking very little time to hear the patient and offer viable treatments. His whole job seems to be about setting up the next billable appointment and believe me, this guy charges a fortune just to stick his finger up your butt to check your prostate. He billed me $450 bucks for that and I only got to see him for about 3 minutes. Further, at the second appointment I told him that my quality of life was suffering and was there an option for a pill I can take to help. He looked directly at me and said "no". He wanted to shuffle me toward the Lyft treatment his staff started pushing on me before the first appointment. Two appointments and a thousand dollars of billing. Don't get me started on how messed up the billing department is.

Needless to say, I met with my regular doctor and asked why they were referring this guy and ended up getting a prescription that has helped immensely. This doctor does not even deserve one star.

I have been a cancer survivor for the past 14 years thanks to the Professional, competent and compassionate care of Dr. Jo. I had a radical prostatectomy in January 2006 and had total removal of the prostate via daVinci robotics surgery. Cancer free for 14 years and counting. There is no better Doctor/Surgeon than Dr. Jo in all of Central Florida, if not the entire state of Florida. I have no hesitation in providing five stars.

Dr jo scheduled me for a surgery at a hospital in Ocala, the surgery team had me prepped, and sedated and the Dr ( JO) forgot to show up. The hospital had to call him at home to rush in. I had complications afterwards and he told me to go to the regular emergency room, that it was nothing to do with him. Turned out it was the antibiotic he prescribed, but he would not even admit it.
You are on your own if you go to him.

Saw Dr Jo in April, he told me he didn't need to see me, I had a kidney disorder. On August 6, his office called me for a 3 month follow up, said I needed a KUB... called back later that day to see if it was set up, yhe girl answering the phone said it was. Went to the hospital for test and it was not scheduled. When I called them from hospital, she basically called me a liar. She actually was screaming at me. The only reason they received 1 star is because I had no option for zero stars. Avoid this office. I am a RN at a local hospital, so I can tell you this is an unprofessional office. My Director recommended Dr Jo...but until he cleans his office of unprofessional staff, avoid it unless you like to be verbally abused and lued too.
