Dr. Plocheck and her staff have made going to the dentist fun for children. The floor plan of the office where the children's teeth are examined is completely open with all the beds in the same space, but occupying different stations. There are toys everywhere and each child gets a balloon when he or she is finished. The staff wears brightly colored scrubs, and everything is geared toward making the children comfortable. Parents are invited to stay. The staff speaks to the children on their level, telling them they are "counting teeth" (checking for cavities). Dr. Plocheck is kind and caring and very knowledgeable and is willing to take time to explain everything in layman's terms. I highly recommend her and her partner, Dr. Bruce Weiner.
