Dr Cochien was my family dr for over 11 years. Sadly for me she decided to reduce her practice due to health reasons, and now she is still on leave.
I was very pleased with her care. She spent lots of time with me, making sure that I have a complete and thorough follow up on my health issues. She was so busy and I had to wait weeks for an appointment, but during the appointment she would give me her full attention. I never felt rushed. She did my physical exams, referred me to specialists, prescribed tests, gave me valuable advice, coordinated my care with my surgeon whom she called personally to speed up the communication process when I was not hearing from his office. I never had a family doctor as thorough as her and as caring. She never dismissed my concerns. I am alive now only because she insisted I do a colonoscopy that detected my cancer. Other doctors are reluctant to refer patients for colonoscopy.
She would keep me up to date on test results, she would even call me at home late in the afternoon to discuss my concerns. Now, as a cancer patient is very hard for me. I wish she was here, but she is also a human being who needs to care for her health.
I will miss her a lot. She gave me a sense of comfort, a sense
that I am taken care of. And her office manager is very helpful and professional.

Worst GP ever drops patients who have terminal diseases so she can spend more time with patients who really need her where is the logic there She is an incompetent doctor who should leave her practice before she harms more needy patients A disgrace to medicine in general

I have been a patient of Dr. Cochien for a number of years. Recently she has been on leave and will only be coming back one day per week. I have been advised by the office to find another practitioner as the other practitioners at the clinic are not taking on new patients. I have always found her to be attentive, helpful and professional, and all with a cheerful manner. She has taken the time to hear my concerns and ensure that appropriate tests are done and has referred me to a specialist when required. I will miss having her as my doctor.

I am very pleased with dr. Cochien's level of care and professionalism. Unfortunately it is very hard to get an appointment with her.
And now that she is on leave we do not know if she will come back and when. We miss her .
The only option is to see the walk in clinic doctors while she is away as there is no replacement for her. It would have been nice if she assigned the care if her patients to another doctor while away.

Honestly she's the reason I hate the medical care system in BC.

Dr. Cochien has been my family dr for about 10 years. I am very happy with the way she treats us. She is very detailed oriented, always prompt in following up with test results and specialist referrals. She is very open to discuss the medical conditions and to provide the best treatment. I never feel rushed, she always treated us with respect and compassion.

Horrible human being, extremely money oriented & absolutely no empathy. I feel very sorry for her patients. In a reply to a request, she mentioned not getting paid by MSP 3 times and did not offer any condolences for my elderly father’s condition. One understands why she became a doctor because it is definitely not to help people.
