She saved my life. Forever grateful. She made me feed normal. She taught me how to handle life's problems... She gave me mantras and tools, so I could practice on my own. I saw Dr.Heenan for 5 years off and on, and every session felt so comforting. She listened to me, really listened. Because of her care, I am now living a beautiful, present and healthy life. No words could ever thank her enough.
The first therapist I saw pushed medication, I said no, only to have him threaten me by saying, "don't come back here when you're messy." After that one appointment I requested a new therapist, Deb. I got Deb. I am forever grateful for all that she taught me. I still hear her voice sometimes... Her little tidbits of inspiring information. Thank you Doctor Heenan... Thank you. Xo

Over the last 25 years I have seen many therapists off & on for a panic/anxiety disorder. Deb Heenan is without a doubt the most professional, helpful, informed & supportive therapist I have ever been to. Every appointment with her is alot of hard work, because she asks the tough questions & gets you to take a good hard look at yourself whether you want to or not. I am always trying to get her opinion on things but as a True professional, she doesn't give it, because it is only our OWN opinion that matters! I have a tendency to natter on & on at times & she will stop me so that I can get the most out of our one hour session. No matter how big or small a problem might be, she always seems to know the right way to proceed in helping you to deal with it & overcome it. I highly recommend Deb Heenan as an experienced & professional mental health therapist!!

I will state form the start that this individual is a Mental Health Therapist. Possibly in the future, Therapist may be added to the rating list. If you are seeking an unprofessional therapist to assist you in your mental and emotional growth then this is your person. I had approximately 12 sessions with Deb, which is surprising since the Red Deer Community Health Centre - Mental Health Services adopts a 6 and out policy. While I initially found Deb to be attentive and sincere, I later found through the receipt of my medical files, to not be the case. [“Deb. If you feel someone has problems accepting responsibility for their actions. How about you say something like; Oh I don’t know. Hey it would appear that you have a problem accepting responsibility for your actions. Want to talk about it?]. I guess that just sounds too much like therapy.
