Outstanding understanding of my pain with lumbar spinal MRI referrals and recent new hip pain diagnosis with.cortisone injection. First 2016 diagnosis of sciatic nerve pain was followed with CT guided epidural by a specialist at False Creek Clinic. Further episodes of back pain episodes I had helpful lumbar epidural injections in Kinetix Clinic. Then a hip pain diagnosis and treatment with cortisone injection administered by a specialist brought into the clinic. Dr. Helper is proactive and will make every effort to give excellent care.

The best, most thorough doctor. Caring and kind, he has helped my mother immensely both physically and emotionally while she copes with advanced spinal stenosis. I can't recommend anyone more highly.

Finally, after so many appointments with other physicians I have found a Dr. who knows and understand what I am talking about/describing, understands my pain and listens to my issues. Dr Helper is an excellent, kind, knowledgeable, and out of the box Dr. who cares about his patients. It was evident from the moment that I walked into his office that he knew exactly what he was talking about. I am very grateful for his support, and willingness to search for the underlying cause of my neck pain.

I was referred to Dr. Helper in January 2021 after a MRI revealed an injury to my neck and shoulder resulting in nerve pain and numbness down my left arm. I was assessed prescribed a highly effective pain medication that would not result in dependence and was referred to Saint Pauls Hospital for a CT scan assisted injection for Cortisone. Typically this is a 4 to 6 month wait but Dr. Helper had me in there within a few short weeks. He explained that the first three months of my injury was what is referred to as the pain cycle and the next three months would be the healing. He was exactly right. This was a huge relief as I initially feared the pain and numbness may be chronic and this caused a bit a anxiety and depression. I would not hesitate to refer Dr. Helper to anyone with an acute back or neck injury.

Dr. Helper simply saved my career. My constant shoulder and neck pain was preventing me from doing my desk job. After years of chiro, physio, and massage, I was referred to Dr. Helper and he saved me. His knowledge and intuition is remarkable but his genuine concern for my well being never ceases to amaze me. You will be in great hands!

Dr Helper was great. My son had a knee problem (MCL tear) and he was able to diagnose it and get him an appointment with the specialist! Very knowledgeable and great service.

I saw Dr. Helper about my seemingly never ending back pain, after seeing many RMTs, Physios, and other back doctors.

He was completely honest about what I had been doing wrong (and detailed why, from a physical standpoint, these tactics were not working) and set me up with the right advice and treatment, which helped me recover in only a month (after 7 months of pain).

Had I seen Dr. Helper sooner, I would have saved a ton of time, pain, and $$. Not to mention, he followed up with me a few months later to see how I was doing (unprompted).

I have recommended him to other friends, as well, which is a bit naturally out of my comfort zone.

My pain has not returned as I follow Dr. Helper's advice whenever I am in an unnatural position (long sleep, long flight, or sitting for a long time).

Great service from him + his team.
