Had visited these folks back in November of 2015, but had to cancel due to my wife persistently asking to try one more time for a girl. Well we had her 11 weeks ago, so it was time to see them again. Friendly staff, Dr Shahon has a good sense of humor. Scheduled things quickly and gave detailed instructions. Surgery was impressively painless, only felt the initial local anesthesia and Dr Shahon does quick work and keeps your mind on other things. He is a pro. Has done 10s of thousands of these procedures and I would highly recommend him if you need a vasectomy. Detailed recovery instructions were given as well and I haven't needed the Rx pain meds. Thanks Dr Shahon and office.

Horrible. Shouldn't be allowed to do surgery. Didn't do anything to break up the kidney stones that he was supposed to break up. I finally went to another doctor and found that the stones had not been touched during surgery. Shahon did not tell me that after surgery, but charged me anyway. Didn't give me the medications needed to stop bladder spasms and infection after the surgery so I couldn't urinate. Told me to keep sticking a catheter up into myself twice a day in order to drain the bladder (painful and bloody so went to another doctor). Finally said that I needed to be on catheter the rest of my life. Not true. Went to another doctor, he broke up the stones and gave me the correct medications so that I could urinate properly after surgery. No problems after finding a competent doctor. Shahon is not.

Dr. Shahon ordered a biopsy in order to give us an informed opinion about my condition. A 20 min. procedure ( without any pain killer), Cost my insurance and I about $ 1700.00 and all I have to say is he never gave us a clear answer even though he promised to do so after a follow up. He did not return our calls as he had promised will do after prolonged bleeding had stopped. ((It took 10 days and several calls until one of his staff returned our call . I did not considered similar concerns and reviews by his former customers before making an appointment. If you have to use Dr. Shahon anyway, please obtain his promises in writing before any biopsy or procedure. Because of Dr. Shahon, I have to see another specialist Whom I can rust now. What a sad and frustrating state of medical affairs we have here now.

Dr. Shahon is a wonderful doctor. Best part about him is his knowledge, experience and personality. His office staff is also very cordial and professional. I went to see him for follow-up after I went through horrible experience at an ER ( 9 extremely painful and failed attempts of catheterization in 12 hour period). In my very first visit he showed true empathy and took time to listen to everything I had to say. In my second visit he removed my catheter, performed cystoscopy, showed the process to me and my wife on TV and explained the complete diagnosis in simple words. During the entire process catheterization and cystoscopy, which took him no more than 20 minutes, he kept me distracted by talking to my wife and me (something he didn't have to do). The procedure was virtually pain free (just a little discomfort) and clearly showed excellent skills and experience. I wish we could have more doctors like him and recommend him very strongly. Thank you Dr Shahon... May God Bless You!

We visited Dr. Shahon for a problem, we thought my husband might have. We needed proper diagnosis and expert opinion. We didnt get either of them. We had to wait for about 20 mins after scheduled appt. time. Then Dr. brings us in and talks to us, asks some questions and the problem that we have. And then just takes off, asking us to continue the way we have been going on and gives us no diagnosis, no treatment. At the end of it, I was wondering if the appt was over and did we get what we went there for. He charged us hefty sum for this. I would not go there ever again and will not recommend them to anyone.

I was very impressed. Dr Shahon deals witha difficult subject and I was warned all urologists are a little weird. Two friends had the same proceedure done at roughly the same time as I did. My experience was way better than theirs. I am usually disappointed by medical staffs and find the support personnel in dr's offices to almost always be the weak point. The people here are at least fair and probably better. I have no complaints. Overall, if I had any issues in this region of my anatomy again I wouldn't hesitate to go to Dr Shahon or recommend him to my friends.

Dr. Shahon saved my life...literally. He is an amazing, caring, and dedicated professional. Not your average doctor...one who really cares!
