Dr. Grossman is a very knowledgable pediatrician who truly goes the extra mile. His staff works hard to accommodate all patients and emergencies. The amount of time and care he provides to his patients cannot be measured in dollars or time. You know that your child is being well cared for.

I bring my newborn over there and the doctor was fine, seems to care about the baby and ask a lot of questions. I did wait a lot of time though, and i don't necessary think he spent that much time with me.
My big issue there was the price. For pop out a pimple in my baby armpit i was charge $225 plus the visit plus the exam!. Insane! Due to financial situation i decide to go somewhere else. So i asked for my baby's records and the receptionist (nasty always, they never understand you over the phone, treat you like you are an idiot) told me i have to pay a $10 fee which was ok. When i went to pick it up. This nasty woman refuse to give the records!!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT! She told me she couldn't cause i still have an outstanding balance? (Which was half the total cause i did make a payment before) even though, they can't refuse to gime me the records. Her reason was because she might not see me anymore and she has to make sure i pay. Whats??? My husband went the next day with a paper from HHS that says very clear, by law doesn't matter if you didn't pay the whole amount, they have to give you the records.
So while she was eating her breakfast on top of the desk she trow the envelope to my husband. Nice, right?

Dr. Grossman is a nice doctor however we left this practice after a few visits. One time we had to clean the paper on the table ourselves, 2nd time the nurse was measuring my 2 week old son wrong, she said she was used to weighing adults, not babies so basically my husband did it. Dr. Grossman said my son was allergic to milk & I should put him on soy formula & that I needed to stop eating dairy for the breastmilk. Our son goes to a feeding specialist & when she saw how he acted & his symptoms, she said he has acid reflux not a milk allergy. She called Dr. Grossman & he said ok fine then I'll put him on Reglan. The feeding specialist immediately said I feel sorry for you that you have a pediatrician that would prescribe a baby with Reglan! I totally agreed as that is a nasty drug. We never put our son on soy, we switched docs & the new doc immediately said he has acid reflux & gave him Zantac & he has been great ever since. He also told me I was a new mom & didn't listen to me!

Dr. Grossman is an excellent doctor. As an adult, I wish I could go to him. I was his patient from the time I was a baby until I was 21, when I had to stop going there. I am surprised to see that he has negative reviews. The only negative I see is that you do wait a long time, but that's because he takes time with every patient. He will take time with you too. It's well worth the wait. And to the other answer about being open till 7:30 - if you call before the receptionist leaves, they can get you an appointment. Dr. G is willing to stay there as long as it takes, but why should the receptionists be forced to stay there? I currently live in VT, but I wish he would move up here when I have kids! My aunt also took her child there, and they loved him too. When her son went into the hospital,Dr.G was there even when not needed. He came after hours to visit this child, taking time away from his family. I cannot stress how great this doctor is. Don't listen to the negative reviews!

Dr. Grossman is a decent pediatrician. We try to always see his partner, Dr. Donna Dick, due to ability to speak Spanish, but she has limited hours. I have found Dr. G to be a little arrogant and not wanting to listen to a parent's suggestion's / concerns. Personality is decent, he seems very knowledgable, seems a little cheap, requiring you to pay $5 to have forms filled out for schools / or WIC considering the $60.00 or so he gets from each visit. To me, filling out forms is part of being a PCP. IT IS YOUR JOB along with the medical attention. There are plenty of other Dr's in NJ to chose from. Another drawback are the hours. They are only available 2 nights a week until 7:30. Which is good, but if you call on one of those nights at 5 p.m. and get no answer, what good is it being open until 7:30 if no one is there at 5 p.m.?

I have been taking both my children to Dr. Grossman for 14 years. His only negative is that you will wait a long time, sometimes over an hour, however the reason is that he takes all the time needed to address all issues and whatever you need to talk about as a parent. My kids are now teens and I still take them there because Dr. G is a caring, knowledgeable very attentive Dr. I would be disappointed if he retired in the near future.
