Dr Zackon saw me post stroke. He was patient and helped me understand how my vision had been affected.

I have been seeing this Doctor for a long time, since I had a tumour on my pituitary gland.
I first saw him in 2012 and had to do a lot of different tests to evaluate my situation.
I continuously see him for follow up(s) every year, he is very knowledgeable and skilled in his profession.

I have been going to Dr Zackon for years. I first started seeing him at the Eye Institute at the Ottawa Hospital. He is very patient and always take the time to listen to you. He is extremely knowledgeable which goes without saying as his credentials speak volumes. I love the staff. I find them very kind and efficient.

Dr. Zackon gave me the wrong prescriptions for my vision lenses and refused to acknowledge his mistake. It cost me a fortune to get the right lenses (from another Doctor), not to mention the many hours of my time wasted going back and forth to his clinic and waiting for him. I am not sure about the qualifications of this Doctor, stay away from him if you can.

Saw Dr Z first time in 1987. Then again and frequently from about 5 years ago. Very knowledgeable, very human, no wasted time but not rushing me out of the consulting room either. Kind. Uses the computer like all docs now but manages to look at me and talk anyway. He is honest and has a TON of experience, which is invaluable. I only wish he were a little younger so that his practice would outlast me!

Had Hemifacial spasms HFS and his only recommendation was botox. Found a Neirosurgeon who said no meds would help and MVD surgery was recommended. Went ahead with the surgery with absolutely no regrets. Botox to me only masks the condition So glad I never went back to Dr Zachon. Felt he should be educated and give patients options that are available.

He is the type of doctor that feels that patients should be seen and not heard. No apology for being 2 hrs late. He didn’t even introduce himself. Zero regard for patients time, or for their distress regarding their eye issue. I was just a number.

He is a bit impatient and his support staff are all horrible. front staff have the worst manners. they treat people like cattle.
