On my last session, found Dr. Canapary asleep in his chair. Had the gall to charge me for time and NO APOLOGY.

Dr. Canapary comes across as a little brusque at first...but this couldn't be further from the truth. He cares deeply about his patients. He listens and hears much more than you are actually saying. He is wise like that. He is very experienced and knowledgeable. I was in his care for 3 years but live far from his office. He is one of the very few mental health providers who I feel connected to, who I feel genuinely cares about me. He was also the first doc to properly diagnose me...and I'm 44 and have had mental health issues since I was 14. I can't recommend him more highly.

This person misdiagnosed me twice. He took me off antidepressant medication cold turkey & put me on a stimulant. I had tried to commit suicide & had already been diagnosed with clinical depression. Then he incorrectly submitted my claims & the insurance company wouldn't pay. I was so sick at the time that I didn't have a handle on the paperwork. He has since been reimbursed for the claims he resubmitted but it is interesting to note that he has not reimbursed me to date. I think he needs a new bookkeeper. Most importantly he should retire as he is totally useless.
