I have been a patient of Dr. Brooks for years. In the beginning I sung his praises. But as the years have gone on and everything has become computerized, the service has become poor. He spends all of the time trying to figure out the computer and gives you no time at all. On one appointment he did not even touch me. Just gave me Lortab, when I had an sinus infection. I went for a female check up and he told me that i need to find another doctor for those sort of things. He will only see you for one ailment at a time. He is old and most of his patrons are old but he really needs to retire.

I have been going to Dr.Brooks for over 15 years. I try to get one of the first appointents of the day so that I don't wait a long time. He always listens to me, answers questions, and spends the nessary time to talk and treat me. He will refer me to specialist when I need them. I like and trust him.

I have been a patient of this doctor for over 5 years. He is knowledgeable, kind, but his bedside manner could use improvement. He rarely asks any questions, he just see's you for whatever you came in for. He will give referrals if he feels they are necessary. The staff is average. I've seen it really bad at times, when I've had to wait almost an hour to see the doc, then get attitude if I complain at all. Dr. Brooks is probably within 10 years of retirement, I'd guess. This is a plus, when it comes to experience and a minus, when it comes to "going the extra mile" to help patients. I know of others who see this doctor and have had some minor complaints, like he doesn't like to remove moles himself, etc. I choose to stay with Dr. Brooks for now, not knowing any other doctors that have been recomeended to me. My wife's dr. is very young, female and she tells me I should switch doctor's. But she goes to a different clinic, which does offer better service, not necessary better doctors.

My husband has had problems with his visits to this Dr. He will schedule the first appt. of the day and still has to wait an hour and a half. Dr is very inconsiderate of other peoples time. Told my husband the tight throat sensation was parathyroid surgery scar tissue and to put lotion on it?? I don't even know how that would help? He went to an Ear nose throat spec. who's performed 100's of the surgeries and was told by the spec. never has he seen scar tissue problems w/that surgery and it was stomach acid. Spec. prescribed Prilosec and it helps. Husband went in for chronic shoulder pain, Dr. didn't even look at it, didn't test mobility, nothing, didn't even mention it. Punctuality problems,a misdiagnosis and lack of diagnosis.

Both appointments I went to, I was stuck in the waiting room for about an hour past my appointment time. This resulted in no less than 1 1/2 hours past my appointment time to actually see the doctor. When he came in, he seemed to be a 'cold' individual and other than the very end of the session, did not even make eye contact with me. On the second appointment, I had to re-explain at least 2 things, because he neglected to put them in his notes. I also had to keep referring to the ER notes because he obviously had not looked at them. When I asked him if I could expect 1 1/2 hour wait times, he said that he 'spends time with his patients.' This may be true, but after the last appointment he was out joking with the nurses instead of moving on to his next patient (explains the long wait times). I will give him credit in that he did seem to know what he was talking about, however he ignored the fact that I mentioned a more severe problem and that it was the precursor to the others.

Dr. Brooks was very understanding of why I was there to see him. He proptly ran a few tests to eliminate possible problems. Found nothing there. And decided that a specialist would be my best bet to get the results that I wanted. He didn't waste my time or give me the run around. He addressed my problems and found a very good answer. He came recommended to me and I am happy that I found him as a doctor.
