Our brief discussion was pleasant, but I was swiftly dismissed without care. I was referred to Dr Batchu by E.R. The ER doc said tell Dr. B to see ER notes, & that he would see urgency & get me in ASAP for CSF Build up causing neurological symptoms, including urgent need symptoms. It took a few months to be seen, of which I suffered--bedridden most of time, without a caregiver, & without help from PCP (yeah, I see problem there with the DO I've been seeing...). Once finally in to see Dr. Batchu, I was initially impressed by his apparently vast knowledge; HOWEVER, he didn't even discuss my symptoms, or duration of the CSF symptoms at all. He told me that my underlying diagnosis also causes terrible pain and that he doesn't treat anything related to pain. Huh? I wasn't there for pain issues & have a doctor for pain, who had previously instructed me to find a neurologist for the neurological issues. Dr. Batchu readily dismissed me to find someone else regarding CSF Buildup he said is caused by the underlying neurosurgeon diagnosis (who ALSO told me I needed a neurologist, as he only did surgery & doesn't"treat.") I was shocked that Dr. Batchu was so immediately dismissive, after telling me that my symptoms absolutely require treatment, with immediate attention to the CSF Pressure due to CSF Buildup. His reviews seem so great, and he acknowledged urgent need; however he dismissed me to continue suffering extreme head pain, with neuro symptoms he attributed to same. I have continued to suffer, and fear stroke or other brain damage. I've been too sick to hold food down, have vertigo ,etc, and lifting my head, much less trying not turn head a bit, or bend slightly, creates such imbalance & falls, with other symptoms. A self administered dosage of steroid, based upon ER dosage, is frightening, but I can't begin to even see to read without at least that;however I'm no doctor, & I can't break out of this 24/7 nightmare alone. I'm very disillusioned by Dr. Batchu's lack of even caring enough to take time with me, or at least ensure I don't suffer without any neurologist. I feel I'm dying rapidly, & desperately required his care of at least this CSF issue. It's why I was referred to him by ER, where he is apparently known as treating such neuro issue. I am just floored at his inaction, & feel I was dismissed along with his garbage. Hope readers get better attention, & care. His reviews seemed so great. I was confident & felt I would be saved, I guess! Our brief discussion was pleasant, but I was swiftly dismissed without care.

Dr. Batch is the most knowledgable neurologist I have found in the Mid-Missouri area. He
was highly recommended to me by a neuro-ophthalmologist after being diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis and I also carried the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis for 10 years prior. His additional training in immunology from the Cleveland Clinic makes him a valuable clinician in the differences in symptoms and treatments in my personal struggle with these autoimmune diseases. He always listens and has a determination to always get the right treatment for your symptoms of neurological and autoimmune diseases with safety on his mind. Thankful to have him as my doctor.

I know without a doubt had it not been for Dr. Batchu I would still not be diagnosed correctly and I would be in a wheel chair. I do not know a smarter man in his field. If he is unsure about a case he has no shame in saying there should be a second opinion. Talking to him comes so easy, he is very approachable. When I had my first appointment with him I had a nine page list of symptoms and not one time has Dr. Batchu ever doubted me or told me it was all in my head unlike prior neurologists. I will admit that because of my experiences with doctors prior to him he had to work for my trust and that was not fair to him, but I followed everything he told me to do and he has never been wrong with me. I will never give him up as I know there could be no one who has helped me like he has. Currently he is also treating my husband for a complex disease and we have full confidence that if anyone can help us it is Dr. Batchu. S. Schranz

I just had a first time visit but was very impressed with him and his staff. The only thing they could have been more helpful with was knowing where to park. I ended up needing to walk a long way with my MS. It was nice to finally go to a Doc that seemed to understand my issues.
