This doctor works in a cardiac center of about 20 doctors sharing most staff. Initial consultation was good. He spent time listening to me about why I was there and the types of medicine I didn't want. I had been referred by my GP for high blood pressure. He scheduled some routine tests: stress and two sonagrams. The type of thing Dr House would do on TV to,eliminate things. Very little feed back on the results as I passed. Second consultation dealt with BP medicines. I again told him one type I didn't want and he agreed. Since I was in good shape he didn't seem very interested. His prescriptions didn't work so he gave me the very drug I told him I didn't want. Actually I think it was someone else who gave me this. I didn't like it and called. The nurse called back and told me to increase a dosage to 50 mg. When I questioned this, as my highest was 10mg, I could hear her teeth hit the floor. She had made a mistake. If I hadn't challenged this, no,telling wha would have happened. Stay as you are and the doctor will call. Well, 6 days later the nurse called and said another drug had been prescribed. When I picked it up, it was a mood drug, that corrupts judgement, causing drowsiness. Sort of a Valium. No way I would take this, And no one warned me about side affects. So I quit the doctor. When the bill came in there was another doctors name for 15 minutes here and there, so my guess is I was passed around the office to,people who didn't benefit from my meeting with doctor. My advice is to stay away from his group. Terribly inefficient and you can't tell who is treating you. And they didn't listen and made rookie mistakes. Also, one central number that makes it very difficult to contact people.

This doctor is very rude. He won't answer any questions. He walked into my room in the hospital and told me only that I had a heart attack and then walked out. Find a different doctor. The worst experience.. He treats you like a slab of meat. He only wants money and he doesn't care about his patients.

This gentleman examined me and told me, in front of my wife, that I was doing very well and the only problem I had " Quit getting older". Yes he laughed. Next appoinment is 8 months later. Received a call that he had forgot to order a Cartoroid test. Test taken and received notice that all was ok. For some reason I have received info from the state of Florida that I was to lose driver license. Said if OK by doctors it would not be done. Dr. Soudijn said I could drive but him checking with Dr. Fernandez, that doctor said I should not drive. He never said that to me in June. My drivers record is clear and when renewing same I receive compliments cause it is clear. A clerk told me that she had never seen one like mine for a long time. Started in 1984 driving in Florida. I take my wife to many doctors as she has been battling cancer for several years. Taking care of her is very necessary. We have been married 65 years. Got bruises to prove it.J. Brown

Buyer beware on this cardiologist! I went in for a heart cath and ended up with a heart attack and on a pacemaker because he and his P.A. would not listen to me or my primary care physician of 22 years. He was told several times not to try to do a stint and proceeded anyway. Ended up tearing the artery wall. Dr. Phillips of the same firm is much better! Fernandez almost cost me my life!!!

Used false statements to put me through a series of cardio tests only to find that my heart was very healthy. He first told me that I was on the brink of a major heart failure. After the tests were completed he stated that I had the heart of a young person and the tests showed no complications.
