My husband and I went to Dr Freedman for a consultation after a bilateral mastectomy. The cancer had spread to my lymph nodes. Concerned it may have traveled elsewhere in my body we asked how we could be sure. Dr Freedman responded “we wait and see if something else shows up”. But how could we be sure we pressed? (chemotherapy treatment is different for different stages of breast cancer). “I’m an oncologist. I treat cancer, you’ll be fine” he responded. Uncomfortable with this we sought a second opinion. The second oncologist’s response to the same question was “We’ll do a PET Scan before we start your treatments.” It had indeed traveled past my lymph nodes to both my bones and liver. Thank God we went to another oncologist, in my case, had I stayed with Suburban Oncology it would have been a death sentence. I only had three small locations and now I have a good fighting chance. There’s no telling how advanced it would have become untreated for months or years until symptoms started to show up and it was discovered.

Dr. Freedman and his staff are always very friendly and knowledgable when we go in or call their office. The office is set up with the comfort of the patient in mind. Dr. Freedman stays on top of new procedures that come out and seems always to put his patients first. We've had some hard times these past few years and having the support of Dr. Freedman and his entire staff has been helpful in so many ways.

On my last visit, It was my 20th year of being cancer free. Thanks to Dr Freedman, his skills, and Gods, I am about to go for my 21st year, again, hopefully cancer free. JA Bolch
