Dr. Minella removed a large tumor from my c2,3, & 4 on 25 Jan.,01 and he literally saved my life. I was basically paralyzed from the armpits down and one surgeon told me that the best I could hope for was to make it through the surgery and be paralyzed from the shoulders down. Dr. Minella removed the tumor and today I can walk. While my breathing can be hard, I had to learn to write with my left hand, and I sometimes have to use an electric cart at Walmart it's a far cry better than what was originally told me. In response to the review that said he had a terrible bedside manner--if you want a warm and fuzzy feeling I'd suggest a counselor or priest. Neurosurgeons aren't exactly cuddly but If you want someone to keep you alive or prevent you from being paralyzed call this man. Without a doubt he's one of the best neurosurgeons around. If one of my kids ever needed a neurosurgeon he'd be the only one to touch them. I'd trust my life to him again if I had to, no problem at all. His staff were all very polite and helpful, making a very trying time in my life much easier. There's not much more I can say than that.

I have had 3 back surgeries by him..still in pain..he was not helpful in what was going on with my conditon..he shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know..even the next day after surgery..he left my l3 disc herniated and just removed pieces from my L5 S1...its been a month I'm still in pain..also I talked to another patient who had a fusion and he cut the nerve in his back...I will never return to this doctor and don't recommend him..he needs to retire and I feel so sorry for his staff..he treats them horribly..so sad..the man thinks he's god and needs to come back down to earth..he tried to talk to me that way and I told him don't you dare talk to me that way..I pay him he doesn't pay me..very rude doctor

This man is very detail oriented.I had surgery for a benign brain tumor in 1984.He does excellent work. I was supposed to be in the hospital for a month, was out in 2 weeks. I was 14 then. I'm 37 now. No complaints.
